Should the Hurriers return the favour and have a mass outing to Holmfirth for one of their events too? It'd be rude not to .

Good point - any preferences?
Ian Roberts looks good and I promised Phil Hobbs and the gang that we would give it a go...
Sounds good (although I've got a sneaking feeling it's on the day after the Hobble). Holme Moss is a cracking (and really challenging!) race too. It sleeted last year - in July! Some pretty stiff ascents and descents and a scramble up Skiddaw (?) rocks as well. Still, a good long run. What do you think? Are the Hurriers up for it? ;)
Empty your mail box Trig :) so you can receive new PMs.
Cleared my PM Box (Mag7 filled it up)
Just googled Heptonstall Fell Race 2012
Think the following clubs have included HFR in their grand prix diaries/champs
Bingley
Holmfirth
Keighley and Craven
Darwin
Denby Dale
Airedale Atheletics
Saddleworth
Lostock
Lots of intra and inter club competition!! Must make sure we get the timing spot-on so everyone gets their well earnt points
Should be a great turn out then! I'll have to bust a gut or two to make top half this time!!
Would be good to hear from any forumites from the clubs below using HFR in their champs;
Bingley
Holmfirth
Keighley and Craven
Darwin
Denby Dale
Airedale Atheletics
Saddleworth
Lostock
We have a guided recce on 4th March - all welcome - see the recce thread - get an edge with a preview of the route........
I'm pretty sure Halifax have it on their champs too. The more (or should that be moor?) the merrier!
Wonder how many will come along each club? Its going to be really interesting to see if CVFR?? Pudesy & B?? Wharfedale??? can take home the (copper dragon) prizes with so many turning up as teams.
Lets hope those who are doing Lads Leap don't chicken out (short run on Saturday should nt be a problem:closed:)
Just did a few hill reps in case I get to run...what have you done this week?
I did a pretty hard gym session on Tuesday - lots of abs/core stuff. I've got two poorly sick children at the moment so haven't done a run since last week. (I'm making myself feel better by thinking of it as a lay off post-marathon or taper pre Sunday's recce!) Hopeful of getting out tonight or tomorrow for a blast up to Peel Tower and back. Nice little 5 1/2 miler - head torcher. Are you on good form? How's the marathon prep going? Not long til London now! Have you got a target time in mind?
