Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
Don't be put off by the oddly placed dibbers though, its a great, challenging route!
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
not to mention the unmanned clip that it stated as being on a stile...
...which actually turns out to be on a kissing gate
heaven help you if you persist in looking for a stile!

Should be fresh as a daisy after that. Sorting my entry now, but should be there as recovered well from Lakeland 50.
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
Hope I can find someone to follow/ run with. Just got back from GR20 so my legs are strong but possibly not very fast! It means I have had no chance for a recee just a bit of map gazing.
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
Karen, I'd say follow me but I wouldn't want to trash your finishing time. ;)
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
It might be good for the first bit at least- my legs should be good for long slow days with mega ascents and lots of rock hopping but may not be upto much speed! Be good to see you anyhow
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
Hello Everyone.
My name is Rob, I entered the long tour with my other-half but she cant run as she has hurt her knee. This means i have free place going if any ones wants it? It includes dibber and map. I dont want the money for it as I would lose that anyway.
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
I have decided to run this as a training run for the Bullock Smithy, I have recce'd the last 10 miles and have an idea of where to go for the beginning. Just wondered if it is the same route as 2010 as a friend has sent me the GPS of 2010 race to help me out (I am slightly navigationally challenged). Also, is there plenty of water en route? I am planning on taking 2 bottles to refill as I go around and some emergency money. Sadly I don't think I'll finish in time to get an ice cream from the shop :(
