7.5k beside the Hutt River - felt OK. Maybe try 10k tomorrow. The 3P's are looming and I need to get fittish again.
7.5 miles over Haworth Moors - a cracking day up there :) -route was a variation of the Withens Skyline route - from Penistone Hill up to Stoop then across to Pennine Way via Dick Delph hill -PW to Top Withens - initially down tourist path then across beck to Harbour Lodge to avoid the touristy walkers then back to Penistone Hill for a loop around the country park (time to allow the couple in the car next to me to finish whatever they'd started;) ).
5 miles just , a loosener for tommorow:)
Nice n easy 10miler through the woods.
I ran today 11 minutes around my neighbourhood. And Thursday 10 minutes. Some Achille pain now. I'll know tomorrow if it was good to run or not. Both the physio and the surgeon that operated me (they both happen to be former top runners) suggested is time to start ...
An unexpected babysitter led to 90 minutes on the bike to go and look at the sea.
Tomorrow will be swimming, and Monday is a pancake-flat 10k on the road.
Is there anything else I need to be doing in preparation for the Anniversary Waltz?
Sounds fine to me. Certainly better than my efforts... I've managed a grand total of about 30 miles in the last two months thanks to illness.
Today's training was 10k by the river again in beautiful sunshine, lots of other runners out too, the Kiwi's are really into their running & cycling. I've seen three billboards so far advertising races, duathalons etc. never seen that in the UK!
Managed to find a 5k to run on Tuesday with Mrs Slowcoach and one of our nieces, looking forward to it. It starts from a bar and all finishers get a complimentary beverage.:D
No running for 3 days. In the USA and British Airways decided to "lose" my luggage for 3 days which included my running stuff. Got it last night - glad to get out of those smelly 3-day old clothes!
2 hr 34 out and about round Glossop area. From Hollingworth, broadbottom, through country park between broadbottom and Hatto. To Charlesworth, up the nab and over to Kinder area. Left and across moor to Snake pass. Back down to Old Glossop via Doctors Gate. Cracking day for t. Along back road from Old Glossop, looked at Wrens Nest Mill conversion which burnt down the other day and back home for glass of water and off out again for final 30 mins around Swallows Wood and back down Cow Lane. Cracking day. Would be very hot for running if the wind dropped a little.
See Ajohns, you will miss all this when you finally depart for the USA full time. Why didn't you milk the compo you will be able to claim now BA have lost your lugauge? Its a fair amount each day you are without it. You could have had some very nice new Puma trainers on them!!!!!
No running for two days now due to reasons described elsewhere :(

managed 3 hours walking on the northumberland coastal path and 1 hours trail run. undone all the good with a very large curry though :o
Rest day yesterday given I ran on what should've been my rest day earlier in the week.
3.5 hours (c10 miles) walking on Hawksworth/Burley/Bingley and Baildon Moors today - left waterproofs at home (that'll teach me to believe the forecast!!) so got rather wet in the steady drizzle - worth it for the beer in the Junction in Baildon afterwards.
10k on the road.
My 10k pb, 1 mile swimming pb and my age are all now exactly the same number of minutes/years.
Is this an Omen?
