Crumblydown, i have sent you a pm about saturday, Cheers:cool:
Just spotted The Master on a DVD of 2007 Great Whernside race, ascending and descending like a proper pony. It was my 4 year old daughter that heard the commentator mention Fell Ponies and came flying into the toilet to tell me:D
Great Whernside? Was that a British counter?
Me too - ran with Hamer - wot a fantastic run!!!
Nice to meet other Ponies
How can you carry a bumbag with no buttocks:eek: Scoffed my buttocks off, drip bread, corned beef sarnies, chocolate cake, malt loaf, jam rolls, if i've missed anything i'm gonna have to do it again next year. Hope you had a good xc race. Amex did not eat anything, his body is a temple. Taj Mahal methinks:cool:
Did any of you Hebden Ponies meet up with Chris pony from the North East.
If the food was that good, he might still be at one of the checkpoints trenching!
Other N E ponies had an outing at Hart village on the outskirts of Hartlepool today. Perfect conditions for DeeJay and Paul T,I have to admit I ran in Hartlepool colours today, well it was multi terrain and not pure fell! Lovely cuppa in village hall after, but when I came to put my clean shoes on Dee Jay already had them on, well he had lost his contact lenses on route, thats his excuse for trying to nick my 10year old Hitech shoes.
Aye, Ambrosia, it was a funny day for shoes, ask PT. I thought he'd left me for dead when I turns a corner and there he is standing in the mud. Has he given up? Is he injured? I thought/hoped. No he'd lost a shoe in the mud and was just about to start up again. God knows how he found a farrier so quickly.
As for me, maybe blinkers might protect my lenses, then again I could just stop running into tree branches.
I met up with him ran for a while with him, chatted with him then left him to cruse in to the lead!! (in other words i tripped him up and ran off).
seemed a top bloke.
i was feeling it and did not want to hold Mr & mrs C and merrylegs back any more. i was doing inpersonations of torval and dean!
pity you did not make it Karl was a good day out.
ps you ran in Hartlepool colours how very dare you!
sounds like some good running from the Ponies over the weekend
I am getting all excited at the prospect of the first ever outing for my Fell Ponies vest, at Lamb's Longer Leg (near Hayfield) this coming Sunday :D
any other Ponies likely to be there...?
www.poniesonice.com:D Don't click on this cos it aint real.

We made ourselves known to him Ambrosia, he was around us up to checkpoint 3 (the good one for grub) that was the last we saw of him nosebaggin'. Book it down for next year you'll enjoy it, they even have rice puddin. ;)
Just entered The Lakeland Loop bike ride as a Fell Pony:cool: Did it last year and it was a good do. Easier to enter than the Fred Whitton. 70 odd miles from New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel thru Grasmere, Keswick, up Whinlatter pass finishing off up Hardknott and wrynose passes:eek: All on the road. Organised by www.theendurancecoach.com:D

Pah! I already have luvvy connections - my wife's, brother's, wife's dad played a funeral director in an episode of a Touch of Frost once :)
I see there is to be a Fell Pony pracing around at the Kinder Trial.
Has anyone given any thought to a Pony Event sometime this year, where Ponies from far and wide do their utmost to attend. Given holidays, May (Fairfield) or October (Langdale) might best suit? It'd need to be a Horseshoe race of course ;)
