8.15 miles yesterday. But I'm ashamed to say I wimped out. Set off with drink & food to do 16 & was lured home by the thought of freshly baked bread & almond butter. Got to get one more long one in on Friday before Rombalds !
Boring run to work and back but coping with it by blasting me ears with i-pod, determined to do it twice a week giving me 22 steady miles then go knock hell out the hills at weekend, or maybe they'll knock hell out of me, either way works for me:w00t:
2 runs in 3 days :D
Need to lose some lard and build up the miles.
If I can cancel/re-book a holiday I might set my sights on the Blubberhouses LDWA on the 3rd of April - be somthing to aim for. Am thinking long & steady as opposed to shortish/briskish going forward..............................
11 miles with the club tonight (1hr 20). Tough run but enjoyed it very much. thats 31 miles in the last 3 days
2 miles, half walking, half running... Just felt great to be out again!
run to and from work yesterday plus cracking BMF sesh last night
same today!
Quick trip over Fox Stone, descent off Dovestones Edge, back under Dovestones Quarries and home via the cottages. A tad brisk and breezy up top tonight....
Ran from Hartsop over The Knott, Kidsty Pike, High Raise, Rest Dodd, Brock Crag and Angletarn Pikes yesterday. Over to Boredale Hause and down to Hartsop. Not sure of distance but was out for about 2.45h.
Boring as hell 10k on the "dread"mill. Thought I'd do a speed session & watch the 1st half of Birmingham V West Ham. It was crap. Got back, had some supper, put the internet on to find out the 2nd half + E.T was fantastic. Great.
Nice run out in the Lomonds in the depths of Fife, with good light and a dusting of snow up top. 10 miles, 3035ft ascent
Pots n' Pans - Shaw Rocks - Alderman - n' home. Nice late afternoon easy jaunt with the two dogs. Crackin' afternoon :)
15 miles. Saltaire(work !), 3 miles along the canal to Baildon where I picked up The Rombalds Stride route. Up over Baildon Moors & followed the route as far as Ilkley. Lovely bracing day. The ground was interesting. The mud had a thin layer of ice on it, so it was like running on a creme brulee.
20m, 2,000ft roughly, round the North Downs / Surrey Hills
3.40
I ache so much I might be sick.
Lovely sunny trip up over Pots n' Pans - Shaw Rocks - Alderman - Binn Green - Ashway Stone - Doves Edge - Fox Stone - valley and back home via Intake Lane....Beautiful out there today..:D
Lovely run in sunshine. Was wearing too much and very sweaty but great to be out. Struggled as am now not as fit as I was and now have sore L hip and sore R knee. Seems in 50th year I am destined to fall apart
One hour total on stepper, treadmill, recumbent bike in gym. My longest ever session :closed:
30m bike ride - 20m hard round the park, 5m each way to the park and back. 1.38
6 hours house removal job, plenty of stair reps and weight training, knackered now, need a dog walk recovery session!
Can't see this type of training catching on.
14mile Rombalds Recce, intending to run home from the chevin to make it around 19mile but had to cut short with a sore spot on my heel.
Late afternoon jaunt up over Wimberry from the Plantation, Stable Stones brow descent, with an interesting slip/slide eventual tumble and back via the Plantation - great :D
16+ miles of East Anglian sticky mud - 8.12 per mile - 2 hours 18 minutes - 746 ft of up - if only I lived somewhere hillier ....
1.5 miles in the pool. New goggles, very impressed ! No steaming up or leaking !
Does anyone know a web link that lists miles and km per hour with pace? Ta x
6 miles this morning on the road, not a good session though
top quality spin class last night: 40 mins of getting it all out
plus 25-min run there and back
Half Marathon on back roads and paths, steady paced at 1hr 52m. Sunny out
Getting closer to 10,000 posts
Long night run for the "Nuns"
Just got back from Cut throat bridge to Fiddlers(woodhead summit) HPM recce
13 miles approx 2.55 hours not bad at all.
Muddy on the early section but soon changed to 2.54 cm of slime over ice. Actaully made for good progress. no moon out so VERY dark, cold wind and a bit of rain, clag came in near end.
Not got a link, but:
1.6 km/hr is 1 mph
4mph is 15 minute mile pace
5mph is 12min
6mph is 10min
8mph is 7min30
10mph is 6min
12mph is 5min
15mph is 4min
Same numbers are true for km/hour (ie 10km/hour is 6 minutes per km pace)
Hope that helps, I can do you a quick spreadsheet to do conversions if needed.
Shall I go for a quick run to make the 10,000th post?? :sneaky:
Tues night - Wimberry ascent and descent, with the two dogs - felt like the weight of two whales heading up there, sluggish run...
Tonight - Wimberry again (just before the downpour that has invaded the valley) - great outing, more whippet like than whalelike tonight - some speed play back through plantation on't way home - great stuff :)
