A typically bad day on the M6 yesterday saw me taking a detour via Stoke-On-Trent and back through Burton-On-Trent, which was always a big brewery town. A yes - a trip I used to make on a regular basis. I used to get the train in from Chester Road and then walk up past the Villa, Aston Hall and through the park to school. Of course both the brewery and sauce factory are now long gone. Always wondered what happened to the HP sign - it was a bit of a landmark, clearly visible from the A38M on the way into Brum.Quote:
