Stolly Hill Runs 2010

A 6.5 to 7 mile trot out back yesterday in overcast and misty weather and then a slightly shorter version of the route today. A cracking view of Settle from above Cleatops Wood taken today with my route (of yesterday) dropping down to the farm house middle right before hacking around High Hill and up to the trig on Warrendale Knotts on the horizon far right before scooting back to dear old Settle nestling snugly in the middle of picture.

Yesterday's route

Just to annoy forumites that criticise me for running up Plover Hill and Pen Y Ghent from Horton all the time, this morning I ran up Plover Hill and Pen y Ghent from Horton. The bogs on top were superb! I also incredibly bumped into a troupe of 3 peakers that work in the same office as me (on the floor above though) - they had just got to the PyG trig from Brackenbottom and one of the girls had climbed over the wall to have a pee.......... just as me and harry appeared out of the gloom :D.

Where did run again Stolly? Was it Plover Hill and Pen-y-ghent from Horton;)

Pendle Trot

A whiz up to and along Ogden Clough all the way to Big End and then back down the main drag this morning, meeting much of the FTOP fell racers going the other way. I did try and take a couple of pictures of them but it was too dark for me to be able to get the right exposure on my little camera. Cracking views on top though :)

there is something reassuring about dipping in and out of this thread to find that you are still out there running with yer little hound and taking fab photos :o) x

Stolly, I dont think you could have chosen two better pictures to highlight how bleak pendle looks! :rolleyes: I reckon you did it on purpose :p

The one time of year when he ventures on to Pendle, and I miss it! See you next year...:rolleyes:
