Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
Sarah, I'm not sure if the route is the same as 2010, but it's the same as 2011....so it might be!
Water - There is plenty, I managed with one bottle last year and it was hot, the route description is excellent and it also lists were the water points are: http://www.darkandwhite.co.uk/RunFur...B2012route.doc :) You may get an ice cream en route, there was an ice cream van at the CP at Upper Burbage Bridge..very temping!
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
Thanks Helen, I'm hoping I won't be too slow and will have runners in sight. I've had a look at the route description, my friend is in charge of map reading and with the back up of a GPS we should be ok as long as we make the cut off!
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
do you want my free place?
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
I already have a place but thanks for the offer.
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
SarahB - you should be able to keep me in sight at least (I think our Kinder Trog times were similar this year)
the 5 hour cut-off is not a "gimme", but doable, and I'm aiming to reach it in about 4:30-4:40 - I'll be in purple Fell Ponies vest
Ice Cream Stops at: shops in Castleton, Edale & Bamford, plus van at Upper Burbage (hopefully) and there's nearly always a van on the road just off to the left over the footbridge (i.e.slightly off route) just before Lawrence Field

I had heard you were doing it Daz, feel free to join us if we are around and not too slow (!) - we will be the group with the map, route description, sat nav and ice cream money :)
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell

Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
I actually loved this race today, I accidentally ended up running a bit with Daz and it was nice to have a chat and thank you for helping me with the route. I'm sure you'll do a brilliant time at the BS.
It was really well organised, the marshalls were lovely and the flapjack was the best! I will be back to do it next year but will make sure I know my way then!
Re: Long Tour of Bradwell
Very much enjoyed today too :D Very well organised and well supported. The last few hours very a bit warm though! Lovely to see so many familiar faces along the way
