High Peak 40

As already mentioned by others, this one always seems to be tough, but I always enjoy 'pushing the boundaries' along the route. It was my 12th since 1998. I dragged home in 8:20 and I have luxuriated in the post-race feeling of having been used up but not injured (I can hardly believe my good fortune). :w00t:
Barny and Will and 'Makeup Jen', it was good to chat along the way.
I'll be back next year to try for a sub-8 finish (they are so elusive).
I took a few pictures but no chance so far to upload them - this weekend hopefully. A hotel bar in Turkey is not the time or place (business travel again).

I'll vouch for that......my legs are still totally butchered :thumbup:

cycled to work today in the hope it would loosen mine up ready for the RAB this weekend. The are now not as stiff but still feel rather heavy and lifeless

Last time I chanced a peek there was definately no meat and two veg, only on me, perhaps she should give them a quick flash as she crosses the line and shout LADY runner. :w00t:

Thanks.....there's amazingly a fairly decent one of me which I'll definitely buy

There are some good pictures of the front of the field there, a sight I never get to see. Thanks for posting the link. Here's a few of mine from somewhat further back among the 'also-rans'. As I was attempting to 'put my foot down' for a good time I only allowed myself a few snaps at the checkpoints mostly, otherwise I would have been even slower by 30 seconds or so and I could have been accused of not trying. :wink:
