Contrary to what my notes said on the results of the 2009 Tour, the cut-off at CP4 will remain at 12:30pm (Race start still 10:30am), allowing 2 hours from the start. This year I am prepared to have an early start for slower runners at 10:00am, cut-off at CP4 will still be 2 hours. I am hoping it packs the slower runners closer together during the latter part of the race and gives the marshals an earlier finish, particularly those on the last check points.
Just a reminder
Get your entries in or pay 15 quid !!
Just wondering where I can find the Routes for the Full and Half Tour Of Pendle Race.
Clayton website has em on mate.
Also I think if you google tour of pendle, there is another route or 2 on there.
I'll take you round next time I'm up anyways. :)
Hi
What's the navigation like for the tour of pendle? well marked path that sort of thing.
Its not too bad, depends how well you can naturally navigate I suppose.
There are well used paths, and well formed trods if you know where they are, and from going off last years race, there are plenty of people to follow.
Put it this way, you can't get really 'lost' on Pendle, thats not to mean its an easy race, far from it ;)
Hi Ukhursty
Thanks, my navigation is not great but I'm looking at doing a course in the Lakes later on next month, so that should help, done a number of fell/trail races but nothing the length of TOP.
Cheers
Andrew
i think Harveys do a race map for this
They do, pete bland does em for 3 quid, full and half routes on one map.

Does anyone know for what reason the age restriction is 20? I would have thought if it's run under FRA rules the minimum age would have been 18.
Last year there was a diversion to save erosion on a section of Ogden Clough so that may not be on the Harvey's map plus there may be changes this year as well? so the map will give you a good overall picture of the route but I would check the clayton website for any changes to the route this year.
Pete Vale and I both went wrong in the clag last year - I'd like to say he was following me, but I think I was about 2 hours behind him by that point.
Aye Wycoller, I was meaning your never far from civilisation on Pendle incase you do stray off the path a little ;)
So, who's taking part in the annual suffering and misery that is FTOP, i'm in
Me. First time. I'm told its very flat and runnable. ;)
I'll be there, if my ITB decides to start behaving itself.
OK, I don't mind being the one to ask - what is FTOP? (A woman's place is in the wrong.)
I'm in - looking forward to it - forget the climbs who's on for a barnstorming descent of Geronimooooooooh :w00t:
Will be good to see you Merry
I'm in for sure!!
Can't wait :)
I'm in too. Now all I've got to do is remember to turn up on the right day.
It's an annual pilgrimage of pain. Looking forward to it.

Well worth a few minutes of anybody's time. Despite a poor few weeks' training I am really looking forward to this. 1.7 miles and 48 feet of ascent. I have read that right haven't I? :p
Sorry I meant odorous.
Feel the oncomming pain
Already !!!
