The pie was luxuriously meaty and gristle-free. It just needed the salt level dialling back from 11. How did it go, Tf? I hope OK despite the last few miles. That Chevin climb never gets any easier, does it?

I've seen MattPo's back in a couple of your photos at the checkpoint after Baildon Moor, Nick.

Aye thats me, Black buff, blue top and red bumbag coming off the Baildon Moor Trig point.

Lovely photo's Nick that capture what a lovely day it was.

It was a shame to miss this in such great conditions, though good to see a few of you at the first Baildon Moor road crossing. Despite many being well wrapped up I did manage a quick hi to Tussockface - last time was Potternewton parkrun a few weeks back! and obviously DinoF and other clubmates.

TC, results are always slow on this. Those who leave an SAE for a hard copy are first to see them, I think.

I really expected them to have been published by now. That scouts website is as dead as a dodo. I did manage to get a results spreadsheet from the organiser a while back. Problem is I can't post it here. It can only do images.

Lummox, download the entry form from lower down on this LDWA page. To avoid disappointment, don't bother with the organisers' website. If you want the results it's probably best to include the second SAE for them because it appears that this year's results still haven't made it onto their site.

Well reminded Lummox and thanks for the link Muddy. Thats sent off now - so quaint, Cheque or PO - didn't know you could still get them. Last time I saw one was from my Granny for my birthday many years ago.

I used to do Rombalds every year - first one was in 2006. Last time was two years ago when I had to walk it due to various ailments. But I'll whisper it softly and say I'm getting back into this running lark. So hopefully I will be there. On the waiting list for the Hebden too.

Great stuff, Muddy. I hope you get a place in The Hebden as well. I've not got in that since Alan and Carole handed over the reins.

I got my number and route description through the post earlier this week. It's filling up nicely.

Well, the forecast was right! Awful going over Ilkley Moor, nearly gave up the will to live.

Hardly ran from Apostle Stones to Keighley Gate! At least the going underfoot was good..

Yes, a windy one. But it didn't half push you along on the way back. The Chevin climb was in very good nick - not too slippery. I arrived at the finish covered in blood after an encounter with the wall past Keighley gate, but only superficial grazes. A great race as ever.

Yes, a tailwind on the way back but I think I was knackered by the time I reached Piper's Gate!

Matt - I think we met inadvertently in the school hall afterwards, did someone offer to patch the cut over your eye? That was me - ever the Good Samaritan :-)

Ah Yes, Thanks for the offer Martyn. I had had it looked at by a Breast Surgeon! who assured me it was fine. I only live in Otley, so went home for a shower and luckily it didn't start bleeding again.

Grip up the chevin was a doddle. I'm thinking of asking for a refund :D

Any sign of the results?

Was The Chevin mud-free? I can't remember the last time we enjoyed grip up there.
