3 miles easy this morning, and 7 miles steady/tempo (ish) this afternoon. That's two doubles this week and feeling good. Next week will be a very light week tapering for 3 peaks. Getting closer now....

Normans Law hill race, 8km 215m. Just pootled around and bagged the Marilyn, not sure how long I took or where I finished quite a long way back I suspect.
Dropping my car off at Baildon Station. Followed by a trot over the moors to Ilkley, a coffee in La Stazione & a read of the papers & then the train back. Then an afternoon with the family eating cocolate. Sorted.
Guiseley Gallop this morning, 10k in 41mins including a nasty climb at the end. Had a good race and enjoyed it.
fairfeild horseshoe this morning hardly a sole out 1st thing great veiws good run
prob my favorite run!
Calder Valley Round with Farmer Jim. A tad warm.
Does laying a new patio count? 8hrs of humping 3x2 paving flags moving over 1/2ton of sand and mixing concrete, and still loads to go. Not sure I,ll make my Sunday evening run today.
Just reading that makes my back hurt.
bike session today - 40 miles in a pleasant and sunny Fife
4.5 miles today in a little over 33min, supposed to be an easy/steady run but my running mate is just too quick. Calves pretty sore from Guiseley Gallop yesterday, must've pushed it quite a lot. I think it was the last climb that did it.
1 mile swim this morning, then 10 miles ride to work.
No run tonight.
First run out with new club tonight (CVFR), recce of coiners in just over an hour. Really enjoyed it and now looking forward to trying to crack an hour on Monday.
5 miles/1100 feet Chevin & Danefield - going hard on all the hills on Danefield.
9m mile club run last night, tough going and pushed reasonably hard. Been wearing skins all day and now taking it easy till the peaks this weekend.
16.5 miles/2200ft from Cow & Calf - mostly a shortened version of the Burley Bridge Hike route cutting back to C&C from High Lanshaw Dam. Bit breezy on top but nice and quiet even on towpath section of the route - more ducklings than humans :)
Prep for Ultra Race 100 continue. I'm on course for a 60mi week this week. Rest day today. Planning a run to Barley & back (& doing the HTOP) tomorrow (18-20mi?); then a 23-24mi road run (a Widdop/Slack/Kebs/Worsthorne/Nelson loop) on Sunday.
Plan in coming weekends includes a Double TOP, a recce of the final 35mi section of the Hardmoors 110, and supporting a couple of BGR legs, mixed up with similar long road runs...touch wood.
Making good progress then. Did have to rethink my race strategy though, as what I had planned would have had me as the race winner last year! I'm not *that* good.:o
Good effort SS, I've found the 50+miler weeks to be the best
35miles on the road bike for me today, looking to get at least 30 miles running over the weekend
After spending another day of trying to finish the patio I finally managed a quick 3 mile road tempo run with 400ft ascent and still felt strong even after shifting 1/2tons of bloody decorative pebbles.lol.
6.5miles on the road today extremely hot but ran very well which was good because im still showing signs of improvement.
Cheers Shaun! :)
Hit just short of 40mi this weekend:
Sat - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/82427187
Sun - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/82673070
Stats for the week: 61.53mi, 6,905ft of climb. Apart from the HTOP segment of Sat's run though, all on road. Hey-ho, needs must.
Marathon training. 16mile in 1hr45 very comfortable and wish it had been race day today, roll on Edinburgh.... :)
fair play rev your quick, 6.5 minute miles for that distance is no mean feet. you will be going for under 3 hours then
er.....yesterday 20 minutes on the cross trainer recovery after 3 Peaks, full rest day today!:o.....hopefully off out on the bike tomorrow. Newcastleton 7Stanes route.
5 miles with dog today, feel bloody crap, woke up all dry int back of my throat. Had a small dose of kidflu last week but this feels like manflu coming on. Oh well, back to work for a rest tomorrow:closed:
my session today sucked - sheduled for 16 x quarter miles at 5k pace ran the first 8 comfy at 76 sec then it started to slide mananged to hack out the last half in 82s still bloody depressed now!!!
16.5 miles worth of 3 peaks on Saturday. Rested sunday, 5 miles on Otley Chevin yesterday, and 8.5 miles round Harewood today with the club. Feeling better now, shame about the peaks but hey, there's always next year
1st target is 245 m8 then anything toward 240 is a bonus, I think I could nail a sub 240 but im to chicken to go hard from the outset, instead prefering to get through the first 16 without much stress than try and kick on.......injured my ankle doing a fell race on the moors last night but it should clear in a day or two fingers crossed :)
30 miles on the bike followed by a smidge over 7 miles 1800-1900ft club run, very pleasant and sunny out there yesterday
After scrapeing the Ice off the car this morning ! No really!!
Early run around Lady Bower followed by a cycle round Lady Bower
11 miles for each.
Did not fell very good. way down on my usual time for the run.
Some how I got dragged in to race this evening! I was only deliverying beer but it was a nice night so decided I could do the first half and trot back, damn I'm just too competitve :) ended up doing the whole thing which I'm told was a rough "O" style 8 miles around the burbage valley. regretting it now, I'm knackered. Well done to Green flash though who pipped me to the finish.
so todays total is upped to 19 miles running and 11 cycling
A brisk but flat just under 8 miles club run on the beach, sand did a good job of compensating for the lack of ascent.
Not used to this flat lark, could have done with a hill to err... level the playing a bit field with the roadies
A short 5 mile 880ft in 45mins trail run today,.blooming hard work tbh very humid and dripping wet before it rained.
7 hilly road miles, way off my usual time
14 miles 6000' Sedbergh Hills race route.
I had the hills to myself (apart from an angry Buzzard!) up to Calders with cool but fine weather up to the final descent when the rain started.
nice... well apart from the buzzard lol
Roundhay Parkrun 5k - won it  although not in a super fast time (18:48) Reckon I could shave up to a minute off that time with someone a similar level to me pushing me a bit more. Enjoyed it though
did 6 miles last night at twelve o clock to go and cheer on my misses doing a midnight walk for the sue ryder care home in cheltenham. was a great evening for all the ladies whoi did. i met her at 7k then quickly did a loop round to suprise her at the finish again. quite enjoyable running in the rain.
7.5 miles with the family round Eccup and then I continued and ran back whilst they drove. Pleasant day for it. Lot of flies though
a quick blast up and down Loadpot Hill en route to Brum, 8.2miles with approx 1500ft ascent in just under an hour. Good pace for me, I was obviously glad to get out of the car and stretch my legs
