It wouldn't have mattered what group we were in this year Alfred. Failure to progress would simply be failure!!! No excuses.
Re: Tonight's football thread
Thats as good a group as you could expect really..
United's is tough but we should get through. Top seed always should, but all tricky ties. Could be worse.
Celtic... They'll do well to get Europa..

Come of it Iain your group is piss easy.
You've avoided all the champions and second places of the major leagues

Well is this the beginning of the end for one red and the beginning for another red?

Indeed. We play the Rags in a few weeks Stagger. I expect a tough game, and shouldn't take anything for granted, but can you imagine the shit storm that would take place if City decimated them in a few weeks?! The knives in the media would come out for blood, specifically, Gollums' blood. ;)
Re: Tonight's football thread

I think he'll be back in English football by Christmas 2014....
United possibly..
Him and Ronaldo won't get on.. he'll not pass enough to Ronnie.. take his own chances.. Ronnie will shout.. moan.. affect Bale.. Bale will lose confidence..
Kaka all over again..
