Test batting average of over 46 (65+ for 2010-11) with a highest score of 235 and 16 centuries in total shows he's done something right though to be fair 2012 form hasn't been particularly good.Quote:

Got to agree with you Stagger. Despite the fact that in the last test match he held his nerve, in general I think he is not the man if England are in a sticky situation. If it's 300-3 he'll probably score a hundred but I knew that as soon as Trott was out this morning and things were looking a bit dicey, Bell wouldn't hang around for long.
Will the young Yorkshire lad Joe Root save our bacon in this innings. He has made a good start England 133-4 at tea.
