Can't really say i knew Daz, as i only met him once while doing the Saunders he was reccying the Wasdale route. I was always inspired by his blog though and he was very encouraging in person. At least he died doing what he loved, may God rest his soul.

Seldom does news of the loss of someone you've never met stop you in your tracks like this has.
Like many here, I only knew of Darren through the forum and his blog, which i stumbled upon after running the Anni Waltz in 2011.
None of my words can enhance the wonderful things already written about him here.
My thoughts are with those who knew him well and loved him dearly.
