A tad under 7 miles up Black Hill and down to the ford below Red Ratcher and back. 1400 feet up and down in 1:17. Lots of flying ants and bilbo baggins flies. Saw serious smoke coming from Snake pass/southern Bleaklow. Hope all is well.

5.5 grim miles tonight, legs still sore from Burnsall and headcold has come back with a vengeance. Started ok and then couldn't breath at all. Had to stop and walk for a bit before picking up again towards the end. Feel like shit now though, head's pounding.
6miles 1500ft, felt pretty good too. Looking forward to a club run on some new hills tomo!
trunce for me last night, had a reasonable run after sundays long one
A tad under 7 miles up Black Hill and down to the ford below Red Ratcher and back. 1400 feet up and down in 1:17. Groundhog day.
Lovely long and sunny run over one of the Bowland challenges (Langden Watershed) today. 16 miles plus the extra bit because I started and finished at fell foot to avoid time in car and extra petrol. It was wet in places but not as boggy as sometimes. After parlic saw nobody until the Trough road and then once I left the road only saw 3 people until I got to Fairsnape.
5m relaxed run with dog just as it was turning dark, great to see that look in the dog's eyes, 'I love you mate'
8 x 1:30 hill reps up the front of the Chevin tonight. Had a funny sort of cold/shortness of breath going on recently so couldn't manage hard efforts, instead concentrated on bounding along and keeping a continuous effort, sort of like a strength session instead of a heart/lung session. Quite enjoyed it but it was a pathetic distance of only 2 miles in 30min (although in my defence it was up a pretty steep, only just runnable slope)
7 miles and 1800ft, despite some ongoing dental issues thanks to a teeth connecting with rocks incident ran pretty well. Got a couple of hours booked in the lakes tomo on the way darn sarth.
Then next week I have 7 clear days where I can run, with the Cairngorms on the cards for next weekend, schweet!
6.5 mile trip up Carncliff top (through knee high heather) and on to Simons seat before heading back down through Howgill. Wasn't really feeling it today but pleased to get out, felt strong on the climbs today which was good.
A good 11m with Mrs.Crumblydown and Lily the dog from Hollingworth Lake up Blackstone Edge, across to Windy Hill then back past Piethorne Res to the lake.
Gem the dog ad a good un, same here:thumbup:
Just back from family holiday in North Wales... The pyramid shape of Gyrn Goch (near Clynog Fawr) was just there to be done. About 1600+ft and about a 5 mile round trip... Ber-luddy steep once out above the trees (reminiscent of Clough Head) and scrambly at the top, but well worth it:thumbup:. The return leg not runnable until half of the descent done.. good fun. Two days previously had done the adjacent Bwlch Maur (can't spell it, let alone pronounce it, but it's about the same height) and had an encounter with about the biggest bull I have ever seen... thankfully, he was the other side of a broken wall and didn't move towards us. If we'd had the dog with us, it might have been a different matter... 16 year old Luke had never seen anything like it!... sharp exit stage left:o.
After suffering from a complete snot out with a cold the week before the week before last and being away camping in the lakes the week week before last, this last week (if you're still with me and managed to follow that) turned into a complete runathon - during the week I did 5 or 6 miles round Ogden Water on Monday evening, 5 or so in the Settle hills Tuesday, 4 at Ogden Wednesday, 5 again on Thursday in Settle and 3.5 with my eldest daughter on Friday evening.
And this weekend I went from my normal anti-social solo running stolly to an extremely social (and forum friendly) stolly. I ran 15 miles out of Austwick with Chubbs on Saturday morning, taking in Nick Pot, Simon Fell, Park Feel, Ingleborough and Little Ingleborough.... and feeling completely fecking shattered at the end. Thanks for the pint in the Game Cock after though Chubbs. And today I did circa 10 miles around Plover Hill and Pen y Ghent with Hes - as a garmin geek I'm sure she'll be able to confirm exactly how far we went :) - who, considering she's not run off road for 6 or so weeks having torn ligaments in her ankle, I was very relieved to get round without her turning it again. Fabulous couple of pints of tea in the Pen y Ghent cafe after too.
And my running didn't end there - my younger daughter came in from work this afternoon and dragged me for another 3.5 miles in the Settle hills.
Something like a 51 mile week then
Nice to see that Chubbs and I are helping to resocialise you Stolly!
Thanks for the run:). It was brilliant to be on the fells again. Garmin says 9.2m, 1,778' (I stopped it when we de-bogged Dirty Harry).
My training has been mainly cycling lately due to my ankle but last Saturday I did 40m on the bike, 18m on Monday, 16m on Tuesday, 4.4m running (tentatively on the road/flat) Wednesday, 3.2m running on road Friday and today's 9.2m proper running.;)
A tad under 16 miles and 4100 up and down. Had another skip around the Calder Valley Round. Nice, a pb of 3:11 to boot!
18m 2,000ft near Haworth. Last LSR before the YORM.
8 miles 1600' climb and surprised a sheep or two on the way :D

10 miles 2500 feet. If I had had my head-mounted video camera with me (which I don't yet own) I could have shown you the raven that did several fly pasts to escort me and Max the dog off it's land.
A stomach cramped 9.75 miles around Ilkley Moor. Windy, with an ominous sense of winter creeping slowly upon me. Saw a miserable walker too who didn't have the courtesy to respond to my chirpy "hello". Oh well, soon be Christmas.
6 and a bit miles and around 1600ft climb on otley chevin tonight (4 x 1.5m loop from the top down to the outbuildings just below the whitehouse). Nice steady hour.
Also walked up to Simon Fell this morning through the valley of desolation and back with my 3 year old. He did well, didn't have to carry him at all. He even found a grassy hill to run up and down, never heard of toddler hill reps :)
60 mins steady eddie on and off road mix (60/40 in road favour)
20 mins or so stretching/core exercises while watching Vuelta
8 miles on the road but with 1500ft of climbing. Hurt like hell but feel much better for it.
6 miles 1400ft post work scamper for me last night. Club run tonight, and have brought a change of clothes to leave at work for tomos first running commute to work which should be a 12 mile round trip. Shame it's on the roads.
9 mile hilly club run last night, legs still dead from monday night but managed ok. Big climb from the river to the Billing was a killer
Several runs around Northwood and the local area - all streets - God how boring.
Bring back the Dorset countryside and even that is flat and mundane (just dont bring back the job)!
Never mind I will slowly find some off road runs.
Monday: 8 miles flat XC
Tuesday: speed / interval session: 5 x 2 minute uphill blasts
Wednesday: 6.5 mile XC walk with the hound
Tomorrow: a fat slab of cake and a rest
Into upper Settle, past the empty reservoir, onto Lambert's Lane, up Sugar Loaf Hill for some extra climb, up path along Attermire Scar then onto Warrendale Knotts, down by Middle High Hill, onto Banks Lane, then home through the market place.
Stopped at trig on Warrendale Knotts to look at the setting sun raking across the Ribble Valley and lighting up Pendle Hill.
A solo run over Kinder , a couple of good climbs and about 90 minutes all told, don't know the distance, don't care. stunning sunset and back to the car just before the head torch was needed.
5 miles around the Wessenden Valley. 950 feet up and down in 50 mins. A tad warm.
Nice hour and a bit on Strines moor/Derwent Edge on Tuesday, think I did about 7 miles and 3 hills.
Breakfast run from Accellerate shop this morning, 10 minute warmup followed by 4 x 1km(ish) intervals at 4:40 each then a 20 minute run back/cool down. Today's was done with the baby in his running pram.
4 miles over the fields. Didn't go out until 8pm so really could have done with a head torch in a few places through the trees!
8 hill reps with around a 1000ft of climb tonight on Otley Chevin, short hard ones so only around 2.5 miles in total.
anglezarke amble in the sun - but really struggled to motivate myself to run for some sections and had an incident with a herd of unfriendly cows
