Re: Three Peaks Fell Race
We are Doing it for charity, so even if i not able to do in 24 hrs which is highly unlikely,I will still try and do it even if i have to do it in 2 days(30+ hrs) if my leg better. Will give me experience for future attempts, be good to do the legs etc, get a taste of the pace etc.
Re: Three Peaks Fell Race
That sounds more realistic then, good luck with it. Hope the knee mends soon. Compression stuff helps me recover faster if that's any help to you. I find flight socks (£4.99 from Asda) have enough material to cover my calf and knee and give good compression for wearing either through the day at work or at night in bed depending on when I've been running and how I feel. They helped calm my knees down after a tough weekend (fast 5k race sat, 19.25m on road with 2700ft climb sun) after wearing them in bed last night, legs feel spot on now.

Thanks Rob will look for them and try em.
Re: Three Peaks Fell Race
Where are you running this weekend? Just wanted to give a shameless plug to our new race! Come to Heptonstall on Sunday 20th March.
The race will be fantastic build up for 3 Peaks = specifically designed to fit in with 3 Peaks training diaries; B Long 3200 ft/15.5 mils; about 70% 3P distance/ascent and timed 5-6 weeks ahead. Some of the ascents are "stair case" killers on tired legs (Ingleborough!). Organised by bunch of CVFR and Tod Harriers, we're expecting well over 100 runners. Entry on the day - £5. See route on www.heptonstallfellrace.org.uk.
See you there?
Re: Three Peaks Fell Race
Will be my first 3Ps this year - looking forward to the run but far more importantly... is there any kind of after party? What do people do about accommodation - is there camping in Horton?

Seriously? I'm more bothered about the race myself. There's a couple of pubs in Horton and there is a campsite but no idea how full it gets etc.
Re: Three Peaks Fell Race
Big marquee, a live band and a beer tent last year.

Re: Three Peaks Fell Race
Was there? Must have been a few yards from the beer tent. Never saw it, but don't feel hungry after a long race anyway.
