Despite blowing up after Black Hill due to lack of training and fitness (lost 10 places on the descent!), I had a cracking race and it's great to be back.
Has it ever been so dry up there? I've never come back from a run there with clean feet. (I saw some of you found some arse deep bogs - must have missed them).

When I did it 2 years ago it was pretty dry if memory serves. It was another warm, humid day and heading out to Black Hill was absolute murder - one reason I don't feel too bad about missing yesterday's race now!
then once we'd made the trig at the top the wind was blowing a gale! making it hard going across the peat...

Just noticed from the results - only 1 vet in the first 10 finishers. Now that makes a refreshing change.
