An excellent evening for watching a fell race and taking a few photos. In case you were all too busy to notice the sunset I have included a couple in the photos which can be found here:

My 4th run of this great short sharp blast, its a tough little cookie. Lovely evening to top it off, even managed a PB trying to catch Mr Jackson down that horrible lane. Great photo's, I've put a link on a facebook page I manage. https://www.facebook.com/PeakDistric...ces?ref=stream
Some photos here taken by my kids

Sorry cyclops, running and snapping = lots of throwaways so no pic of you at the bottom of the descent. A blurred smudge would be an insult.
Shaun, those pictures are superb. Thank you.
Racing Snake, nice page and decent performance if you're chasing Mr Jackson. :-)
Glossop Boy, I like the action shots capturing the grimaces on the first climb. Nice work by your kids.
Three weeks to go to this classic short sharp lung-busting start to the mid-week season.
Weds 15th April at 7.30pm start. Registration opens at 6:15 pm. Further details here:

Don't be put off by the current wintry weather - I have ordered spring evening weather for the day.
The Glossopdale machine is being swung into motion, with the Glossopdale Babes on registration desk, the Dudes on the hill and the Explorers lined up to provide sell-out refreshments afterwards, as they did last year. Not to forget the promise (so the RO tells me) of a spruced up prize-table ably sponsored as ever by Joe Barber plumbers of Glossop.
See you on the night?
Message for Simon Harding (Macc. Harriers) - 2014 winner:
Any chance of getting the Men's trophy back to a member of Glossopdale Harriers (e.g. Zoe Barton or Alison Holt at Edale Skyline, or someone else at Lads Leap this weekend). Or otherwise PM or email me to confirm alternative arrangements to suit.
Cheers.
Sikobe
The Glossopdale website is now up to date with the latest 2015 Event Information, including confirmation of Race Insurance & link to the associated Rules & Guidelines. https://glossopdaleharriers.wordpres...arm-fell-race/
As a member of the FRA and SHR the Race Organiser has selected Insurance and Safety Rules which he considers appropriate for a short sharp fell race of this type. Those of you attending from north of the border (no I don't mean Yorkshire & Lancashire) may be familiar with the chosen Safety Rules and Guidelines. Those of you competing that are not (the majority?) - please make yourselves familiar before race day.
Additional considerations have been made. Specifically please note that any Juniors (14 - 17 on the day) wishing to race this 4.8km / 3 mile race will need to provide signed Parental Consent form which will be available at Registration on the evening, and need to meet all other requirements including the guidelines relating to experience of the type of terrain.
Any questions, PM or email me. Possible informal slow recce being organised for anyone interested on 9th March 1.30pm - 2.30pm. TBC
