Thanks LFF, Seems to be getting better pretty quickly with a bit of rest and the stretches the Physio showed me. If it's still giving me problems in a week or so will take you up on your offer.

My first mid-week whiz round Ogden of the summer. I really went all out tonight too, blowing it out my arse (as my younger daughter would say :) ) on the climb up towards Giants Tooth. I left it a bit late mind and it was getting really gloomy in the woods come the finish http://connect.garmin.com/activity/161926033
A nice but warm 7 miles up and around Wessenden from Marsden. 1090ft ups and downs in 1hr 6mins.
Excellent night recce of BG leg 2 last night... really perfect conditions. Had a biggish day round Langdale planned today, but after hauling myself out of bed after four hours kip and with legs like lead I decided to make the most of the weather and have a day to enjoy rather than endure. Started from Elterwater, up on to Lingmoor, down to Blea Tarn and nipped up to Side Pike where I had a cheeky 30 minute nap in the morning sun. Dropped down to ODG, went up in to the Langdales and on round to Silver Howe. Cracking day for the hills, though it really was hot up there.
Cracking fun on the hill tonight. 11.4m and 2840ft, great run.
Last night and tonight, hill reps with dog totalling 1600ft, off up Scafell Pike on sunday:w00t:
11 miles hilly bike yesterday and today, tonight hard session with Harrogate Harriers doing fast intervals on the stray, legs feel ok though:thumbup:
6 miles round country lanes outside Penrith at lunch break. Was asked to go up Blencathra by a workmate but couldn't get the cover so had to make do with the roads. Bit gutted but at least hip seems to be holding up (ish).
Ran up Pen Y Ghent twice.Up from Brackenbottom then back up on Pennine Way. 11.5m and hot. Saw Pete Vale,Tom Owens and A.N other 3 Peaks reccying. (Think it was them!) Wish I'd a pound for everyone that said "are you mad?"
Ran from home to Lockerbie railway station, boring road run with small ruck sack, 9 miles, bloody cold on the hands, the frost was on the top of the cars at 6:30am but the sun was nice, from railway station to work in Edinburgh about a 1 mile, then the return trip tonight on the way home 20 miles total, will rest now until weekend when we have a 8 mile hill race at Langholm.

Ran from home to Holcombe Hill. Out and back, 8.5 miles... 1904' ascent and 1569' descent:confused:
2 runs today,
9 mile pace run this morning on the roads
4 miles slow and steady in the evening heat
From Hayfield up to Kinder Low via Edale Cross, back down to the reservoir and climb up Sandy Heys. Then followed the Snake Path down to the Snake Inn, back uo Kinder to Fairbrook Naze and back along the Edge to William Clough and back down to Hayfield.
About 18m and 4000ft or so of climbing. Good run but shame the mist never cleared above 1500 ft.
Stayed pretty local today with a high level circuit of Longsleddale. From Sadgill straight up the fell side over Grey Crag and Tarn Crag. The dry weather made it pretty good going coz it can be a mire up there. Down to the Mosedale col before the pull up Branstree. Down to Gatesgarth and up Harter Fell. Blue skies and sunshine over Haweswater. Kentmere Pike and Shipman knotts before back to Sadgill. Hip feels ok but still not firing on all cylinders. Couple more steady weeks and it should be sorted.
Despite starting with a hangover, being hungover half way through, and being hungover at the end. A blinding day out, lots of steep rough ground and great running temps.
19.5miles and 7800ft ascent

4 hours walking in and around krakow in the snow!! It looked sunny in Newcastle when I caught some of the game on the tv.... :p
Not too bad a week, could have done with a few more miles. 45.5m and 15410ft
Leg 2 and 3 of the Lakeland 100 from Seathwaite to Wasdale, up Scafell Pike via Mickledore, down off the pike reccying the Old Counties Tops route then back up to Esk Hause and down into Langdale via Angle Tarn, great day out with pooch and finished off with pint of Guinness and Fish n Chips:thumbup:

Did the Langholm Hill race yesterday, 7 miles, finished first in the over 40 vets class and won some beer:thumbup:, result for me I never win anything, only a small field mind.
Did 5 miles with the wife wearing my weight vest then another slow 5 without, legs were stiff from yesterday’s race.

232.6 miles and 35,816 feet of climb during the month of March :)
Hill reps, 6 reps of 1100ft in 0.8miles
BG pace and surprisingly easy, well... apart from the last one
Finished a block of 4 days yesterday focusing in climbing, not a huge amount of miles but approx 21000ft climbing. The only ascent I'll do today is the stairs at home, and just the once. The sofa is a good place!
First proper run for 6 weeks and it went ok, 10k with the club
Was going to do BGR leg 2 with MatynP and partner Helen, we managed to get up Clough Head but were buffeted by gale force winds and a wind chill well below zero, made a wise decision to call it a day and turned back, did 9.5 miles in total so not too shabby. Met 2 runners at Dunmail Raise lay-by earlier in the day who were doing legs 1 & 2, no idea how they got on...
7miles or so club run over Embsay Crag from Skipton with a dozen pals. Brilliant night for a run out!
Full on winter run of BG leg 1 and most of leg 2 on Tuesday. Last Tuesday I caught a tan and this week was a white out over Helvellyn!
I had a potter up to the "snowline" on the local hills at lunchtime 8.3 miles 1420'.
6m to work, 6m home, 4 days off now:w00t:
Superb in the Lakes today. Between night shifts so only managed my local 6 miler over Scout Scar but the views to the high fells were cracking.:D
Splendid Good Friday run out from Ilkley. 13miles or so with clubmates, including several forumites, over Beamsley Beacon and Round Hill. A great way to start the weekend!
Yeah, I enjoyed it too, DT. Right up until I pulled a muscle in my arse.
It probably needs a deep massage but strangely I've had no volunteers...
18.5mile 3 peaks route today (well two of) in 3 hrs with Pattinson and Jo (waites). Started from Horton and picked up the pennine way behind the Crown and joined on to the race route to Ribblehead, Whernside via old walkers path and Ingleborough before heading back via Sulber nick. Tired by the end but a pretty good session. Those two are bloody strong!
Just got back from Rothiemurchus Lodge (Cairngorms). Beautiful drive up A1 and A9 on Sunday in sunshine and t-shirt weather. Walk around the forest with kids on Monday. Woke to lots of snow on Tuesday (sledging with kids). 6 mile run round and about Loch Morlich on Wednesday. Walked up to Cairngorm summit on Thursday in proper winter conditions, thigh deep drifts with significant windchill above 1000m. Eleven days earlier I was sat at The Lion Inn in North Yorks, in blazing sunshine, wearing just shorts and t-shirt, having butties and beer, having just completed the Blakey Blitz (11 miles/2800ft).
Two things strike me:
What a wonderfully diverse and unpredictable environment we are lucky enough to run and train in;
What a wonderfully diverse and unpredictable environment we may be unlucky to run and train in if we ain't fully prepared.
Post night shift planned trip to the Howgills foiled by poorly toddler but still managed a quick 6 miles with dog. Feel great but trying to stretch hamstrings and glutes with a two year old insistent on helping is not conducive to thorough stretching.
21 miles , 3000 feet on Mag7 from Heptonstall (but cut it short v the normal 27 mile route)
6ml steadilyy away along the Dales way, over to Haw Pike farm and back through the golf course
