well done spyke. I thought that record might be for the taking with good dry conditions. what's the route through the forest at the end like now?
alright for you then Bill :D
I'd love to have a crack at this, preferably solo and unsupported. I was thinking about staying up after Ben Nevis and giving it a shot, but I was worried about completing so much of it in the dark without a proper recce!
thats the way to do it, more of an adventure. the ground up in scotland at the moment is so dry, the inland loch/res's are so low, if there was a bigger population there would be a hose pipe ban, I was talking to one of the estate managers today and he was saying they were getting worried...
well done Spyke. Jude told me all about it last week.

I am now considering; again; to have a go as described above. It will be in mid August to allow recovery from the L100 race. I figure daylight to be 06:00 to about 20:00 hrs. I probably wont take a head torch as extra incentive to give it a good go. I think I will go Stob Ban to Sgurr Elide Morr, as it is more in keeping with the original route. But I will start at the youth hostel and go clockwise which isnt traditional but makes more sense to me. I have no idea why they both (Charlie and Philip) went anti clockwise. Maybe Charlie was being true to Philips round and extending it?
But I like the idea of doing the most difficult part first i.e. The Ben, CMD and Aonach Mor.
p.s. Well done Stephen on your round.
A bit further down, the sixth I think. or just here (in large)
