Well done Dale:thumbup:
Good effort Dale, see you at the dinner!
I was at Kirkstone to see Dale come in there, he had made Jonathon work for his money on leg 1,
Ant then joined Dale and Jon (glutton for punishment) for leg 2.
Myself Simon (Dawsy) Denise (Dales partner) and Spyke made our way to Dunmail via Ambleside for sarnies. I went up onto Seat Sandal to cheer them on, only Dale and Ant at this point still going like a steam train, Jonathon had took a tumble and decided to miss Sandal out.
When Dale left Dunmail with Simon and Spyke he was 15mins up on his 11hr 59min schedule and looking strong.
Denise and I went around to Seathwaite and walked up to Styhead to meet them with water and food.
At this point Dale had gone through two sticky patches and had lost his 15 mins buffer.
As I joined them he was back on track power wise and he stormed up Great Gable,Kirk Fell and Pillar making up another 11mins , he stayed with this all the way over Stoat fell, Steeple and Haycock, Seatallen was a hard slog for Dale but dug deep, he went up Middlefell knowing he just had to keep the same pace going until the end , Denise had walked up from Greendale and met us for the last downhill of the day. Dale finished up with 11hrs 47 mins a great effort. The icing on the cake was Joss and his wife Mary waiting on Greendale bridge to greet him. Even better, Denise was there with the car to transport 4 sweaty aging veteran athletes back to their caravan for copius amounts of tea and Staffordshire oatcakes with cheese ,,,,,,,,lovely.
Another great day out on the fells, in excellent weather. :w00t::w00t::w00t:
Very, very well done Dale ! Really good effort - well done you ! Are you going to write an account of it ? Would like to read it if so. Many congrats and wish I could have been there. Pete

Very well done Dale, what a great achievement and how marvellous to be greeted by Joss and Mary.

Cracking run Dale, sounds like you got your own back on Jonathan too ;-). What a great result!
Excellent stuff, Dale - well done. That's about 15 minutes faster than me! I know just how tough it is.
