Geoff
How did you do in the Pennine race over Shelf Moor etc. last Sunday? We caught a glimpse of you on James’ Thorn and a few other runners.
My planned races are:
Jan – Kinder Trial
Feb – Wadsworth Trog and maybe Mickleden Straddle
March – High Peak Marathon and Edale Skyline
April – Manx Mountain Marathon or Three Peaks and Kinder Downfall
May – Crowden Horseshoe. Would like to do Old County Tops
June – Ennerdale
July – Wasdale
Turnslack,Im having a go at that race Hubby really enjoyed the race 2 years ago.
Don't propose to list them all here but I would expect to complete somewhere in the region of 35/40, but the important ones for me are Coniston, Blisco, Ingleborough, Borrowdale, Ben Nevis, 3 Shires and Langdale. Will probably help out with a BG and might just think about a classic like Ennerdale or Wasdale - that will depend on how training go's and holidays.
Doubt I'll do as many as Swoop managed in 2006 though!
I'm hoping to be fit enough to do the Manx Mountain Marathon this year, however at the moment I'm not to hopeful of bettering my time last year (really frustrating as I know I can smash it). I would also like to have another crack at the 3PYR again!!
I'll probably do the whole IOM Fellrunning league again.
I did one official fell race in 2006, so I had better do another one in 2007 ..... plenty of time yet.
ben nevis
edale
loads out the calendar
but would love to do borrowdale
prob about 30 odd races
Hi Mark,
I didn't spot you up there. Had a good run. It was a handicap race, with everyone starting at different times, which makes things a bit confusing. However, Andy Trigg was fastest (awesome running) & I was 2nd fastest - about 12 minutes slower than Andy!
It was a really tough route, but ideal for a training run - I'll send you the grid refs if you like, and you can give it a try.
See you at the Kinder Trial.
All the best,
Geoff
