Fantastic effort! Well done that man! :D
Yahoooooooooooooo! Get in there! Well done Robin, that is what, down my way, they call a proper job!
Andy and Rose
Great stuff Rob - see you at the dinner next year!
Well done rob! Hope the weather wasn't too bad.
After a tough Leg 3 Robin really perked up on Leg 4 and the cloud eventually lifted as we headed towards Brandreth - first time he'd seen beyond the end of his nose all day!
Well done Rob - it was a pleasure spending a few hours with you.
Anyone know what happened to the 2 London lads who set off at the same time as Rob? Apparently they left Wasdale 5 minutes after us, but we never saw them.
Well done Robin. Nice to meet you at Dunmail although obviously not the time to sit and have a chat! That's a damn good effort in the conditions.
Quite surprised to hear the 2 'nutters' from London made it to Wasdale from what I was being told! Interested to know how they got on. They were certainly taking the shortest possible route of Seat Sandle!!!
Indeed true :o
You need to remember the front one of the aforementioned 'nutters', spent more time on his a**e than his feet on the way down and appeared to be wearing very baggy shell suit bottoms. This wasn't as bad as it might have been as one leg appeared to be ripped off. It was quite a sight seeing someone slide down SS on his backside with one leg covered and the other not.
Apparently they had done no recceing and trained in a tower block in London. They had maps but weren't using them, instead following a GPS (hence the descent of SS). They had no support, other than one of them was HOPING his wife MIGHT be at Wasdale!
