Oh! By the way! Whats the m.p.g. of those various vans? I'm guessing they're all very reliable and cheap to run and/or are there any geeky car types could tell me what is the best van (2nd hand!) re: m.p.g.
I was thinking of Merc Vito or Renault Traffic (as Vauxhall/Nissan one)

My Scudo does about 40 mpg if that helps? It is the higher spec 2.0 16V JTD engine, so not the most frugal but powerful enough to tow two horses in a horsebox safely...

My Land Rovers only ever got washed when it rained, barring a couple of wedding atttendances in the Discovery:rolleyes:

Got home insurance with esure a few months ago and the other day received 12 vouchers to have a 'Level 3' car wash at an IMO car washing place, one a month. That means it'll be being washed roughly 11 more times this year than last! Bonus.
Yeah, this is exactly what happened, only, it wasn't just the mirror, it was half the front of the car, twice in 3 years! Similar level of tosserdom in a similar car :(
Never a problem with the locals, we slow down, push ourselves into the hedgerow and pass each other, ususally winding the window down asking: how is it going... To which the answer is: 'not so bad', or 'middling' or more ferquently these days: I wished it would bloody stop raining!

Oh ekkk... brake discs replaced? I don't keep my car clean, however, it is always up to date on its services and mechanically sound! As we speak it has been serviced and is being given a new cam belt!

The disc was weird, just one had worn a lot and my friend noticed it when he was swapping my tyres around (I have winter wheels on the front in bad conditions but ordinary ones on the back and he was swapping them over for me). Got to get some clonky bit changed soon too...he did tell me what it was but I've forgotten. Thank god its economical fuel-wise because it certainly costs a lot to maintain!
