Stunned ... is the word that springs to mind, when i arrived home late last night from darrens mums to sit with a cuppa and have a read of the fra forum, as it gives me comfort at the moment.

Was it really just a few hours ago that we were discussing setting up a donations page for Darren, sorting the 2 charities and such...

There it was top of the posts for yesterday, Dominion had posted a link to a just giving page set up in Darrens memory.Cry oh yes its made me sob.... not only tears of sadness but tears of appreciation for again the unselfishness of fellow runners and forum friends. when we spoke yesterday Steve and had the idea I said i wouldn't have known where to start, but you both sorted it

I was shock that 500 pounds had been donated by midnight .....i sit here tonight (wednesday) and the total has surpassed what was set and is touching 3000 pounds. I think even Darren would shed a tear at that..........

Words cannot express what it means to myself Josh, Darrens parents and sister who's just flown in from Vietnam.

The team are stunned to say the least. A hearty thank you to all who have donated to both causes.

I've been peddling the link on twitter, as have loads of others. I can't believe how well it's been received. The list of donations is like a who's who in fell running. All well deserved, both the teams that the money is going to and to Darren himself. The generosity of the fellrunning community is awesome.

Almost £7000. I just donated again to get it a little bit closer.
