I understand sales are still below 300 copies and given that all proceeds go to Mountain Rescue it would be nice if a few more of the 6000+ members of the FRA bought a copy to recognise Pete Hooper's labour of love and to increase the royalty cheque to mountain rescue. The book also has a lot more laughs than Stud Marks on the Summits.

Pete is looking into that but the book will need an ISBN and I suppose the people who are more likely to buy it don't need to go to Amazon to find it (where I don't think it would be any cheaper than buying direct from the publisher Lulu).
My interest in the book is that when a fellrunner goes to the immense effort of producing a book about fellrunning, written by fellrunners for fellrunners, for no personal financial gain then I believe I should play my part in encouraging the fellrunning community to give its support.
not that it would be cheaper - although delivery would be free - but for instance if it appeared on the 'Feet in the Clouds' page as a 'people who bought this also bought this', that would surely boost its sales.
Also, if people use that sad virtual friends social networking site, Facebook, then it could be added to the Visual Bookshelf application - i might give it a whirl. Add it, review it and then share it. Not necessarily going to get sales from that but all publicity is good publicity.
It's a good book. It deserves a wider readership!

I've just ordered a copy using the code Graham suggested, it seemed to work.
I've not read it, but if they want a bigger readership they should shift their target audience. Fell runners know what racing is like, its the others who don't. Look at Fitc, that sold far far wider than the fell running community, I think this book would to. We've found with our business that walkers like to book fell running guides and love asking about races. I think the hill walking community would jump all over this sort of book. It seems perfect for those wanting to know what fell racing is like, especially as its written by many mid pack runners.Quote:

Get some of the walking mags to review it if it hasn't been done. TGO, trail et al are always looking for other articles. Also Summit and then the more general running mags like runners world and running fitness.
