If I didn't get into the Ben (...so far have done so for past few years) I'd do Grisedale Horseshoe (...I did this one in 1999 and it's a superb...but very challenging...route)

I see the Adventure show is on BBC2 Scotland tomorrow night at 7pm.. do any of our Scottish friends know from the TV listings if the Ben race highlights are being covered in this episode?

I wish they'd stop hiding that program in the early evening when I'm out. I'll need to remember record it or hope it's on the web to view again. It's possible they might squeeze something about the race in, as the mountain biking was the week afterwards, and with the cr@p weather they probably don't have too many good shots this year.

On the positive side I'm in again - hopefully do better this year and I'll need to go back to some kind of shoe that doesn't slide around on wet rock like a, well, a very slippery thing.

I do wonder from looking at the entry list whether the clayton le moor secy didn't send off filled in Ben forms instead of renewal notices or summat. Almost as many as Lochaber. Well, almost.

As it's a monthly programme and the last one was on 25th September, I guess it will be on towards the end of October. 23rd/30th?

The Adventure Show will be taking to the hills with Scotland’s best known walker, Cameron McNeish. Meanwhile, Lindsay Cannon is set to explore one of the most remarkable landforms in Britain - the parallel roads of Glen Roy - and to take look at the wildlife to be found there.

ps, the stuff about Cameroon McPish taking a stroll was listed as being down for last month's adventure show too, and they did say that the Ben race would be on after the last one so they'll probably have both
