Have a good run Moo.
Cheers
Just checked out rochdale site.... what a fantastic website for info....
What you doing tomorrow brummy j?
And what are you planning on doing tomorrow sir david?
Moo, in case you are running with your PC, i'm Mixed Team, leg 4, running with speedy Josefa
Story so far: (times approx)
Leg 1:
Mixed Team - 61 min (9th or 11th)
Male Vets - 65 min
Ladies - 93 min
On Mixed Team for leg 2 we have Sparth and Carly :D :D
Had a nice run on the first leg. Fantastic weather. No wind. Borrowdale set off in singlets. What will they do when it gets hot say at Wasdale?
what they always do, run bare chested
i've heard a rumour that danbert was flying on leg 3 - leaving other teams in his wake:D
Danbert was going strong on leg 3 in better condition than I was anyway, had a bit of race finish with him. My partner beat him and his partner but I just did not cut the mustard and catch them. So victory Danbert and Co.
Fourth for Tod men and second for Tod ladies!! Well done!
. Weather was great could see for miles up there but must of been chilly at half 8 at the start![/quote]
There wasn't any wind so it was fine with hat and gloves.
The running was superb today, as far as I could see all our teams had good ones. Danbert, it was a pleasure to go round with you mate and a good push at the finish to give our Leg 4 vets a head start. Strength and Honour!!
Widdy, was that you I was talking to with Danbert after leg 3
Took quite a few photos of most competitors at the top of the last climb on leg 3 (apart from last few teams), some good shots. If any one wants any, pm me and I can copy any to you.
Well done to you all, tough climb at the end of leg 3.
Widdy i'm absolutely done in, i'm completely worn out and drained, i'm more exhausted than i've ever been exhausted before in my life. It feels like you've half killed me. :D
Well run NotOnUrHelly i thought you had a strong run yourself considering how long you've been out and your breathing problems.
Just want to say a huge ''Thank you'' to Rossendale Harriers and their team of helpers for another fantastic relay. It’s hard to imagine how much focus and patience is needed to organise the whole event. So thank you again.
Roger Rabbit - Hope you didn't think i was being ignorant at the end of the leg i was so weary and cabbaged i couldn't talk let alone walk.;)
Yeah sorry roger, I was to wrecked to say thanks for your encouragement. It was that bloody hill and trying to catch my partner and the black, red and yellow vests of rochdale.
Danbert and Widdy were flying down that path at the end of Leg 3!
The Male Vets managed to keep hold of their lead to the end of leg 4 but having them ahead certainly made me run my socks off. Looking forward to seeing what time Josefa and I posted
I gather men vets were about 30th and the Mixed team a few places behind.
As for results, apparently these will take a week or so to appear on Rossy but http://www.sportident.com/ might get them out sooner. Can anyone from Rossy confirm that?
This was a fantastic event, thanks very much Rossendale Harriers for your time and efforts (they were well worth it).
Thanks Notlob, I ran out of my skin today and couldn't believe the time Colin was suggesting at the end. What about your 1:14:36 for Leg 5!
Mighty Dale Results are being posted here as we get them and Phil took loads of piccies that are in the cyber dark room being processed.
Try this link to my public gallery for photos of final ascent on leg 3.

Well done to the organisers on a great event.
On a slightly different subject - But a big feature on leg 5 - what does everyone think about the motorcyclists who utterly trash the areas we run in?
What a fantastic day out! Bright blue skies, warm sunshine, really good views. It was a pleasure just to be out there today.
I thoroughly enjoyed my run, and thanks to Lefty, Ducks and the army of helpers and marshalls for making it happen.
Well you had a flying run Danbert and after that leg i would of not been able to speakQuote:

Still on a high after yesterday! What a lovely day it was and great watching all the legs after - especially when we regained first place on leg three. Third place in the end….but there’s always next year!
P.S. Hope you’re feeling OK today Michael! Haven’t seen you like that for a bit!
Yes I'm still alive!
I hadn't eaten anything all day-thats my story and I'm sticking to it!!!
Gaz you're a bloody good photographer you are.
You got the perfect flattering angle there, in fact i'd go as far as to say, that the picture you got of me, must have been one of the few instances where i was actually running up the final ascent of leg 3.:D
Incidentally ....thanks for the help with the recce again, it was appreciated.
Danbert,
Point and shoot man, point and shoot:) (purely by chance I think).
Hope I got your good side (as well as the fact you were running up hill!!), well done.
with regards
Gaz
