Conquering Cumbrians here we go...

Limiting myself to Cumbrian based runners. Tried one year to have a team of my Ambleside clubmates and failed abysmally, so have widened my spread a bit. Sharon may be Bingley but lives in Staveley, by the way.

Carl Bell 6. Had a fantastic year locally, can he do it nationally?
Sharon Taylor 5. Back to her best we hope.
Mark Addison 2. Giving cousin Tom and Jebby a good race recently. Could be a bargain if he does all the champs races.
John Helme 1. Had to have at least one Ambleside runner, and couldn't afford Mr Noor. John should do well at longer rougher ones like Great Lakes.

All this talk of Carl Bell - I'm new to fell running really, the only reason I picked him was I had a chat with him before the start of Borrowdale last year, and he was a really nice guy! Didn't even know who he was at the time!

Yes, he seems a very nice bloke. I had a quick chat with him after he won at Great Whernside.

However, I'm with superflyguy on this one. He's very good but I'm not sure he's up with the best yet. I hope he gets there and proves me wrong. Either way, I'm looking foward to another fascinating year watching the champs unfold race by race.
