Thanks to Darwen Dashers for putting on a really well organised event, despite the weather, well done!! Brilliant value for £3.50, a cracking race and a tee-shirt.

Thanks to George T for organising it and to you for racing. It seemed to go smoothly enough, and it wasn't raining for once!
Well done Dashers - sorry I couldn't make it around last night.
Looks like the series is working with over a 100 again at Aggies.
Next leg is the Tockholes Gala and I will be at that one.

Agree with GD. Well organised. Loads of friendly marshalls on the course and what a challenging little course. A bit of something for everyone.

race starts at 19:15.
What better way of spending mid-summer's night?
First time for me tonight. Really enjoyed it although the last climb felt like mountaineering. Good fast finish too. Thanks to the supportive marshalls - much appreciated
Great local race-also 1st time for me.Hardest thing for me is getting going again after the steep bits..Maybe hill reps could help with this?
thanks to everyone who turned up.
We'll get the results on line asap.
Thanks
The Dashers of Old Darwen Town.
I was a first timer at this one too. Really enjoyed it. I think the slightly slower start up the narrow path meant I had something left for the fast finish. Many, many thanks to all the marshalls and organisers for braving the weather to put this one on for us. :)
Yep great race, much tougher than the profile makes it look. I really enjoyed it, and always wondered what that tower was having driven past it on motorway loads of times. Also sorry i couldn't stay for presentation.

The first 4 ladies beat the old course record so they were fair shifting in pretty poor conditions.
cracking race, what a finish!
It is a cracker isn't it and another good turnout tonight.
My Girls took the team prize as well :)

Many thanks to all those who helped or took part.
hm, thought I did better that (not questioning results, just thought I did better!)
enjoyed it loads though
Thanks Darwen Dashers for tonight's blast up and around the tower. Good turn especially with the footy being on, but come on who wants to watch them overpaid tossers when you can partake in a fell race? Well done Joe Mercer matching last Thursdays Two Lads race with another win. And really pleased for clubmate Lynne Clough on her win after best part of a year out injured, brilliant Lynne. Just noticed results up already on Dashers website, blimey that was quick....just like Joe.

Thanks Dashers, first time for me and really enjoyed it.
Definitely started a bit too fast - felt like I was going backwards up to the tower and was grateful later for the single track uphills for a chance to recover. Hope to return next year.
Thanks to George and all helpers and marshals from Darwen Dashers for friendly and well organised race!
Thanks you two, glad you both enjoyed it. Will give George & the rest of the club the feedback :)
and Greg, you will be surprised how many people walk the path to the tower, it is a killer and I train on it about 3/4 times a week, never feels any easier!!
Race on this coming Thursday, 7:15pm start from the usual spot on Punstock rd.
All info here - http://www.fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=4339
£5 entry on the night with registration from Darwen Leisure Centre, postcode - BB3 1PW
Please avoid parking on Punstock rd as we don't want to upset the residents, I will be at the bottom of the road preventing cars going up anyway but just in case you beat me there...
Hope to see some of you there on Thursday night :)
In our club champs so we'll have a few there again Cal. Steadier start this year!
Brilliant race this evening, thank you to the organisers. Well done Darren Fishwick for coming first MV40, I have a bottle of wine for you.
