Hi Stolly We'd be happy to arrange to pick you and AN other up from ODG on our way up and then drive over to Dunmail Raise. You're right it would be a pity to miss out the joys of Steel Fell. Should be a cracking day out :)

I'll be having Friday off work to do a training day in the Lakes
not BG route though - decided on Coniston fells for a change...
daz that is probably 1 of my favourite fantastic up to get you up onto the old man as well if you are going from the school a nice run back as well if you go down slate mine into torver the only draw back its only about 10 mile ,whoever needs picking up i would be happy to pick drivers up from ODG but i cant get there until around 10 or dunmail 9.45-10 whats the PLANS
Given that old un and arkel are coming from so far away and you can't get to Dunmail until 9:45 ish vespa maybe one of the others can pick me up from ODG? Nigel? Markmc? StuartL? Tahr? I will be packing a border collie by the way ;)
Thanks Stolly, it is quite a drive from the east coast, StuartL will be coming with us if he comes and isn't viewing houses. Does 10am at Dunmail sound feasible? Seen pics of your dog on the blog, he looks tough, is he doing the BG?!
it would have been earlier but im at work 5-8 on saturday
:thumbup:Thats jolly decent of you stolly, it'll be good to catch Up too Roy:thumbup:
I can get down to anywhere on route for 10, my car will have space for me my mate and 3 more plus dogs, I will bring one of my GWPs so dog is no problem in my motor Stolly.
Let us know where you need me at what time.

GWP?
Apparently this message was too short at less than 5 characters so, I ask again ....
GWP?
Theres you, me and bill to start the list
put me down for 1 of the spaces in car coming back from ODG back to dunmail might have dog after he takes some kalms that is ,it will be good old un
Ah I wondered what it stood for too, will he take a saddle if we get tired?? Does anyone have GPS track for leg 3 by chance I'm playing with a new GPS and experimenting :w00t:
So by my reckoning we have Stolly +1dog, Markc, Tahr +1, +1 dog (large), Nigel, Vespa +dog, old un, me, Hank (if there's cake on offer!), StuartL (will confirm Fri). So that's 8 -10 runners and 3 dogs. We'll need at least 2 big cars!
Update: We have Stolly +1dog, Markc, Tahr +1, +1 dog (large), Nigel, Pat, Vespa +dog, old un, me, Hank (if there's cake on offer!), StuartL (will confirm Fri). So that's 9 -11 runners and 3 dogs. We'll need at least 2 big cars!
I can take 5 - that's Me, Pat plus 3.
I can pick up 3 and dog but excuse my beginner innocent but where is OBG.? :o

I think we're ok, now. Myself and Stolly will leave our cars at ODG. Tahr will collect us from ODG at 9.30. We'll drive and meet you at DR 9.45 ish, run / walk / trot / amble and then we'll give everybody lifts back to DR (after a few pints of well earned guinness, of course). I've PMd you my number. We'll be staying in Keswick if any body fancies a pint either Friday or Saturday night.
Cheers Nigel, that almost sounds like a plan!!! looking forward to it, see you at DR
