Good Luck Bill, have every confidence in you getting round, have a great round mate
Were is your sense of humour guys this is ment to be a team effort. Seems to me that there is to many so called chiefs and not enough Indians so you might as well get on with it. Hope that you all have a nice day and enjoy yourselfs. Good luck Bill.
I think the point I was making, Mark, was that I consider myself an Indian. That was all. The whole point of my comment was genuinely that I was pleased that someone was confident in taking the right lines because I wouldn't want to be relied upon. I took the same point from the others too.
Mark I am very sorry about the misunderstanding, I am too very much in the Indian camp and quite happy to be there, in fact this is my very first BG supporting run. As my own navigation skills probably extend to little more than being able to get myself out of trouble if needed I was looking forward to watching somebody who knows what they are doing on a round.
Looking back over the posts I can see that perhaps if you didn’t know me that you might have thought I/we were having a moan but I assure you that’s not the case. I was just looking forward to helping Bill out and hopefully learning a bit from the experienced BG guys.

Good luck Bill - enjoy the 24 hrs & hope the weather Gods behave themselves.
Good luck also to Elise of Tod - starting at midnight - that will mean her support crew can celebrate in the Loft then ;)
The weather forecast is looking a toughy Bill; heavy rain, high buffetting winds and high potential for hill fog. Using a gps right from the off will probably be a good idea, especially in the dark
Good call Brian ive packed GPS in for him with route on just in case, and alls well on support again whats a bg without a bit of drama. Good of you Roy to step in for nav on 3 if needed. See you all at various times of day for a cuppa and cake I'll be in a white ford connect van with a square duct on roof feel free to come over for a chat whichever round you're on and good luck to all other rounds too have a good weekend.
It'll be cracking, really looking forward to it now. The weather will be what ever it'll be. I really appreciate everyone who's supporting me on this round and a bit of rain won't stop the fun ;-)
Got a few Triathlon buddies doing the great north swim tomorrow, might borrow a wetsuit ;-)
Good luck Bill, see you at Threlkeld.
just about to set off from Manchester for Keswick to do Legs 1 & 2 with Elise

Passed Clough head now.
Good job I am on last leg, otherwise there won't be any cake left ;-) I can only eat when I am not running though :o
Just come back from a leg1 reccie finished at 9
Quite cold and windy on tops. Barreled it down in the last half hour.
It will be tough into the wind, but looking at met office, the rain should ease back to occasional showers tomorrow.
It is going to be a long night for the contenders.
The rain after a dry spell has left halls fell very greasy.
Tried dark peaks line of clough head, but IMHO the sheepfold route is still a clear winner.
Sorry oldun. Saw the support teams in the cricket club car park would have said hello but had to get back.
They're looking good at the moment, still around schedule for a 2.40 drop into Dunmail. I'm looking forward to Simons next status report. The weather looks as though it has eased as far as the rain goes but it's all relative.
The GPS seems to drift off line every now and again, Ivery much doubt they would have missed the col between Fairfield and Seat Sandal.
I have got that rarest of things - an internet connection in Wasdale - any news?
Internet tracking puts Bill between Esk Pike and Great End Nigel
They're between Esk Pike and Esk Hause according to tracker
Daz and Elise (Tod Harriers, midnight start) through Threlkeld in 4.01 and 3.55.
Well I'm in house after coming of leg 2 through not feeling right
my son had an op yesterday ,still in hospital
I tried to phone to see how he was while at threkeld could not get in touch so it was a case of being in wrong place at wrong time spur of the moment decision to go did,nt pay off this time
but come on bill
Great. Thanks. Might be time for more breakfast, then.
Hard luck, Roy. It'll happen. Hope your son is Ok.
