No worries, we aim to please.
Glad to report that the dog medevaced off Cribyn has made a full recovery and in fact donated blood last night :)

Who's out for this on Sat? Great little short race.
Short?? Maybe by strict criteria but its a tough as many mediums!
Little??? Remember that word when you face up 'the wall' on Cribyn. And again when your heels finally burst into flames on the long ridge down from Pen Y Fan!!!
I'm lovin' it and hope to be there.
Under the old (proper) criteria, where race lengths were categorised according to record times, it would have been a medium; a short had to have a record under 40 mins and this one is 52.59 ;)
Can't get there this time but it sounds like a crackin race - must get there next year!
Whoops, should of said...calling all hardened fell runners. :-)
Its 5 mile so a short in my eyes. Ok yes the climbing makes it a tough old race but even i scraped around it when i was weighing in at non fellracing friendly 14 stone a few years back (Bloody killed me mind) and look forward to the quad burning climb up to cribyn again.
Try, letting go of the brakes...never suffered with heel burn.
Then you ain't lived! Only happens with brakes fully off😃
No you won't....you'll be waaaaay ahead of me!!
erm, an 'orrible, tattered, sweat stained, stretched and moth eaten yellow number with an inverted V black band. Also worn by the probable winner, a certain P Ryder.
I'm hoping to be there tomorrow too. I'll be the one with the Hat. ;)
Wonder if the Isle of Wight lot will turn up this year???
Have a good day Caz, when you called in Monday I flippin forgot to give you the "stripey" top I brought back from NZ. Damn. Wish I could be with you but got this niggle on my foot still, so taking 'profen and being carefull, I'll stick to a very gentle 40 miler tomorrow and see how it goes.
And have a good day Wheeze.
Oh what a cracker of a race I had today. I was blowing out my a**e going up that first incline, but after that I was having a right old ding dong with Paul Beeson who was egging me on! It was only afterwards he told me that it was his birthday today!! If I'd have known that I'd have let him beat me. ;) As it was we had a sprint finish. Not sure what position I came, but I'm sure results will be published soon. Great race, with some even better cake. ;) Always eat cake! Always. ;)
Sorry I did't say hi to any of you lot. It's just I don't really know what you look like! Next time,I'm always the one in the hat!
Awesome race. Toughest 5miles in the UK?? Awesome steep climb, followed by a great adrenaline rushing descent. Almost got blown off the top of Pen y fan!! The walkers in full wet kit and windproofs must have thought we were all mad lol.
Aye. Cracking race. Was a lot easier than a few years back as my first race. First climb is the toughest as it's runnable but worth it for final descent. No results yet. Did see mr beeson sprinting in. He's rapid on the downs.

OMG  I've just seen(apart from the really cool picture that I'm In! 'Caz the hat!) that I won, yes won for the first time ever....1st VM40!!;) I couldn't stay as my friend Sam, who I came up with, needed some stitiches to his knee after falling 400yds from the finish line!!! Any chance of someone keeping hold of my prize(whatever it was) until the next race?
Well done mate, the lucky stripey top works again .
Interesting that when I raced it, was the last time Alwyn organised it (how long ago was that?) I think about a dozen of us turned up - now over a 100, how times change.
Well done Carwyn.
Despite a really thumping headache and 80+ miles in the legs from the previous week I really enjoyed it, even if I was a couple of minutes slower than I maybe should have been...
I'm glad I face planted just below CP1 on the return and not a couple of hundred yards further on where the ground was a bit rockier!
What a great route. Now I see what Tom Roo has been enthusing about for all these years :-)
Thanks to all involved.
