I'd imagine that Mike also thinks that all cyclists should pay road tax, etc, etc, etc.....

Hi Andy
Any pics of the leading group I was number 50 in 4th I think. Always like looking at shots on that part of descent your pics seem to make it look even more epic
Cheers Tim
A pair of red prescription glasses were found on the race field on Saturday.
Spread the word :)
Just catching up with all this. Top man Wharfee for getting in quickly and doing the first aid  I hope the lad is ok and doesn't remember any of it.
Well done Andy helping the poor guy out..hope you're feeling ok.
Think I was number 213 would have been going down where you were about 1.05pm.
Hi Andy,
Great work helping the poor guy out on Saturday, sounds like he's been very lucky and lucky you were there in those conditions, hopefully he is well on the mend! I wondered who was taking pictures getting pelted by loose scree!
Anyway back to me, ha...If you've got a snap of 306,40/50th , could have had a blue cag on, but number 189 yellow vest came flying past (and many others) whilst we were near you.
Cheers in advance Rick.

never done Borrowdale before this year - was always a laal bit scared of it to be honest.
But now I have done it I can say with some certainty that its the best fell race (and possible best race full stop) that I have ever done. I am even keeping my number for posterity, and I have never kept a number before, not even for races I've won or unlikely to be repeated things like NYC marathon.
With all my crap lines and inability to descend well I felt sure I must have been about 100th place or lower, but over the moon to manage 33rd
Anyway, Ill certainly be back to do it again next year (and much sooner too - can't get enough recce imho after I went awry between cp1 and cp2 and took about half an hour to climb down off Gt Gable.).
Well done on the life saving stuff Andy - and also on getting to the best spot on the route for photos - there's only 1 other photographer who would venture to such spots as that - but he was racing
'bout time the ladies got a look in!

Didn't do the race this year as I had to be elsewhere in the afternoon but managed to take some pics before dashing off.

Good News!
This is John Moss from Otley, the guy who fell off the Corridor Route at Borrowdale (photo kindly lent by Paul Dobson).
I spoke to John this evening and he is doing just fine, in fact I was amazed how sprightly he sounded.
Broken collar and breast bone, aches and pains, cuts and bruises, that's all!
He doesn't remember any part of the fall.

Carl told me about his posing when we were on our way to Turner Landscapes. Couldn't quite picture it... until now. Mad as a box of frogs! Cheers Andy, I'll let him know it's up. He was wondering who you were and how to get a hold of the picture.
