Plenty of room for any Wharfedale Harriers this Christmas at my place, you can have the room right next to my office so that I can kleep my eyes on you and who knows mother might invite you up for lunch.

Re: Fra calendar/handbook
I kind of, sort of think trundlers suggestion would be a good enhancement to an already wonderful publication. Just an asterix (*) next to the event in the summary-doofy-wotsit thing at the front would surfice? :)
The best things in life are the result of evolution, not revolution?

Any idea when it'll plop onto the mat?

The sketch was done from a photo, according to Mr Booth. I know what it's of, so I won't give up the secret.
Vincent's speciality is painting ships, particularly battle ships. If you go onto the Trafford AC web site(www.traffordac.co.uk) and click on photos you'll see a list. Click on 'Vinny Booth at work' and you'll see a couple of photos that give a general impression of his work.
There is also a sketch on the Scott Polar research Institute web-site.

Fat lad that steals our post come in a Red van:mad: Drives 20 yards at a time. I think he must steal mi beer as well cos he always has a lie in on a morning. Gets to ours between 11am and 1pm:eek:
PS
He always delivers the FRA stuff late.
Wait till you become private, you'll all have to work full days and carry a FULL sack (and put it in the right letterbox):)
PPS
Always end on a positive;)

Sent of my FRA membership form over Christmas, how long before you usually get Magazine/Handbook etc afterwards. Will I receive the current issue of the Magazine or will I have to wait till the next issue?

Re: Fra calendar/handbook
Slightly worried me last night when i was having a read through the calendar.
Races that i want to do all have ER/NV/LK/and what ever the other one is. But i suppose thats the case with most races
I certainly dont have the confidence to attempt something like Borrowdale for a long time yet!

Don't know why Ian, must have had a brain storm  as I was filling in the forms. Rushed the new lap top and email facility to make sure the details were up to date for next year. ce la vie.
For any one interested - [email protected] is no longer in use and should read [email protected] :o
This is relevant in the 2009 Trunce series (9 races) starting in March, Broomhead Chase in July and Tanky's Trog in December

Re: Fra calendar/handbook
I notice in this years handbook that the Mallerstang Yomp 7th June is listed as 4352 feet ascent. Previously it's listed as 3600 feet. Can anyone shed any light on this? I doubt it's a new route , has it just been remeasured?

Feck it, can't sit by and watch young Fowler talk nonsense, i did Duddon last year and ended up the last person out of the start field after a pony fell and banged its head on a wall, me and some others gave assistance and were dead last. Still made the cutoffs comfortably. You did that Coniston run with me Al, and left me trailing going up old man.
Listen to me and daz, you could do Borrowdale now, and besides its a long time yet to August.
No, yes buts, and i simply means, get it done:p
And no more nonsense talk, i'm trying to stay off here:mad:;)
