Well, all I can say is that if/when you meet me there's a hint in my body shape! Picked up the nickname many years ago from a pal when talking about food and diets as I remember...:o
How did you choose your name...? ;)

Yep, was spending 2 days away and driving 300miles another 2 days of the week so missing out big time on training, life etc! :(
Don't get to work at home at all now (office based in Bradford :() so I guess that old adage about even the greener grass has got brown patches on it come to mind...
Is it a good forecast then? Good I've not checked. Are you getting out and about this weekend then...? Have you decided on which your next race is going to be...?

I think it's supposed to be good, don't quote me on that though... ;)
Not out this weekend, I'm working. No worries, will make it to the climbing wall and a run on Sunday I expect though.
I do like not commuting at the moment, even if my commute is just a nice cycle ride normally.

Nothing floral. We don't want to smell like gurls you know...

Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
Evening,
The Landlady's not turned up and I need a drink so I'm popping behind the bar to help myself. I also owe Stagger a pint for helpfully stating the bleeding obvious for me about my fuse box this morning and Skennaugh a pint for shouting about climbing at intervals yesterday.
We had cracking weather up here, how was it where you are? Who got out and did enough to deserve a pint or eight?
-
Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
I ran 12 miles in the hills. Cold and still, no wind! It was a most enjoyable run, but i really wanted to fly my kite this morning. Hoping for wind tomorrow! I'll have a pint with you, bit hungry too!
-
Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
I ran nine miles, but I'm trying not to drink tonight as I'm going out for a run with my club tomorrow. Which means I'll get my arsed kicked for about 90mins!!
Go on then... just the one pint of Badgers Snout for me!

Sounds like good conditions over there. How big's your kite? And do you do anything interesting with it or just keep it in the air...?

Aye. Just no technical food for the moment.
I've got some soreen or home made ginger cake left over too.

Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
4m Beemer. I have a land board. I shall be investing in a new kite this summer and hitting the sea.
I'm quite partial to a drop of scrumpy but if i start shouting and waving my arms about please pour me out the door?
-
Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
Skennaugh - we'll have none of that ta. Where I grew up we were trained to deal with scrumpy at an early age. None of this Diamond White malarkey at the young farmers round my way.
Kite boarding always looks an awful lot of preparation (and packing up afterwards) for the amount of time spent actually doing something fun...??
-
Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
I enjoyed some fine scrumpy when i did Lands end to John O Groats. I never dared more than 3 pints at a sitting though!
Little bit of faffing around, but not too bad. Different matter though if the kite spins and you loose controll. You can end up with lines that look like a plate of sphagetti (sp?), thats a nightmare.
-
Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
Now you put the menu up! I've just ventured out in -1 to the chip shop!
-
Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
Hope you ran there and back
-
Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
Just popping in for a quickie ;)

Re: Little Pub up in the Fells
