Crikey bobs, been aching all over all day and had a slight headache (not one of them man-killing one's thank god).
 Booo Stef, that is not what you need right now.
Have to agree with Dazza, what is it with all these bobs  Weirdos.
MSFL, I hope your aches and pains do not get any worse.
I still feel like actual crikey bob crap. I just want to feel Christmassy. Is that too much to ask
Hat's off to your hubby OneHill, a true gent. Hope you feel Christmassy all over soon.
Feel a bit better now after a swift 30 min dog walk and a good blasting in the new shower, has 3 settings and the highest is powerful enough to clean your belly button out, so the kids tell me:w00t:
I think my nostrel and left eye were in competition - they were both watering.
HAHAHAHAHAHA, It is a genuine phrase. I first heard it many many many many years ago from a friend of my dads, who works in Accrington, and they are wierd over there (Sorry Ady), and It may hav originated from there - I'll ask him.
Crickey bobs!
i'm having a relapse.i've been coughing up all sorts of crap again.:(
http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/images/icons/icon9.png Boooo. Relapses are not supposed to happen.
I am hoping I am over the worst. I feel like I have a bag of nails in my throat and chest, but no longer feel like I have been run over by a bus as well.
Hmmm. New day, new phase. Today, bungy up ears, swollen throat and feeling vaguely sick from all the coughing/snotting/sneezing.
I was force fed a port and brandy last night 'for purely medicinal reasons' and even just a whiff soothed my throat and chest a bit  definitely helped. Getting up 4 hours after going to bed: not so helpful.
Woke up feeling stuffy and snuffly. Eyes feel odd too. I think a dose of MANflu is on its way :closed:
Any of the port and brandy left please OHW?
See there is no escape - EVERYONE is getting man flu. Sorry you have it now DT, for XOTF
I can't believe how many phases to this thing there are, or maybe I am picking up new bugs on the trains/tubes because my immune system is down. I had snot Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, back to dry nasty cough yesterday. Brandy and port soothed the cough and now I am bunged up again, what is going off?! :sneaky:
Plenty of port and brandy here DT - get it down yer neck before it takes hold
I seem okay again now thankfully. Hope you're feeling better soon OneHillWonder. Keep the brandy and port flowing!
Glad to hear it DT
Wife got home last night and said "Have you been out of the house today?"
"No I replied don't feel very good."
"Isn't it your head torch run with DP tonight"
Yes but not going as I don't feel too god."
"Rubbish get your self out for some fresh air"
So I did, shortish run though and a pint of Cockahoop for afters, felt loads better. :)
There you go then, that is the answer
Its bloody snowing.
Ive never in my entire 20 years, NOT wanted it to snow. Snow = driving test cancelled.
Well its 4 weeks today that I returned from France with Parisien Homme Flu & I still cant shake it off!
How is everyone's man flu coming along? I am getting bored of it now - a little bit less bad every day, but an irritating tickly cough that just won't shift
Darn man flu. I hope you feel better soon.
There is hope for me I think...only a sore throat now and I'm back to the normal gears on my cycle to work.
Water infection persists; the GP said I'd been given the wrong antibiotics (she seemed to be unconcerned that this was her doing). I'm now on a second course but no sign of any improvement yet. Grrr!
B@st@rd, i'm coming down with it again:thunbdown:
Without doubt the worse case of Man Flu i've ever had, only just managed to drag meself out of bed at 10.30. Feel bloody rough, ache all over and my head has turned into a phlegm mass production factory working overtime:thunbdown:
Dam you Man Flu:angry:
I.m with on that Steve, so much phlegm on my chest i haven't had a run for 3 weeks.
The old water works are restored to normal but the man flu-type virus only faded to a background irritation and is now back in full force. Sore throat, sneezes, occasional cough, fatigue and blocked nose. Grrr, bother grrr!
Surely there must be a way to shift this damn bug? It seems to have been with me since November.
Don't know if it has already been mentioned, but have you tried echinacea? Seemed to work for me just before Christmas, but I think you are supposed to take it as soon as the bug kicks in.
I'm three weeks into my manflu and have been taking antibiotics which seem to be helping with the pressure build up in my face and has stopped the imminent snot explosion that I was convinced was on its way and the odd squeaking that my cheeks were emitting but I am still coughing up gunk and running is out of the question :( I did manage to get up Ben Nevis last Sunday (walking) but only by hacking my guts up at every other step. Stef...echinacea really works (I didn't take any...as I was away from home) but I think you need the tincture. It is more effective. It is best to take it as soon as you start to feel under the weather.
sneeze cough sniff....dott happy...:(
