Season 5 of 'The Walking Dead' has started. I was getting a bit bored by a lot of the episodes in the last season but the opening episode is very good so I hope they keep that quality up.

fantastic Storyville tonight, following scientists working at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN from first going operational in 2007 through to confirmation of the Higgs particle
...also there was an amazing programme on spinal injuries where a paraplegic bloke with a completely severed spine who was told he'd spend the rest of his life being unable to move his legs was stood up unsupported and he was able to move his legs after having his spine rewired with electrodes.
Even the British doctor who was the lead was speechless..the future
This Friday's BBC1 One Show at 7pm - Fell running, based on Sedbergh Gala/Iwan Thomas.
Good new series about the Pennine Way on BBC2 this week.
Anyone been watching Humans on C4?
Finding it very goood!
Sophie Raworth is on the Watchdog team, she looked really nice too! Rogue Traders episode was the most shocking ever TBH.
DT can you put an apostrophe in the title of this thread? I couldn't find it. Thanks xx
Carshare.
I'm on third time round for the new series and that's just for the songs.
Just brilliant.
Anyone been watching the travel doc from Russia to Iran. The caucus mountains and the regions of Southern Russia they are travelling through look amazing and very interesting places. Has to be the wildest part of Europe in every sense. Top tv.
Sunday night is not the same without Ross. And the comical Aunt Agatha is never coming back. But at least he'll return.
I think it is time that BBC News bulletins are renamed Speculation at Six and Speculation at Ten.
I am absolutely fed up with listening to the the likes of Laura Kuenssberg and Nicholas Witchell just bullshitting their way through reports giving very little fact, and in Kuenssberg's case, constantly referring to " a minister mentioned to me earlier" or " a senior back bencher said to me". That is not news. As for "Royal Correspondent" Witchell,I'm sure he thinks he is a Royal.
Never mind Fake News more like Fake Speculation!
A league of their own. Hilarious.
No T.V. for last few days due to wind damage to satellite dish.
However, I found a DVD of series 1 of Early Doors. What a treat. I last viewed it 15 years ago and it still hits the spot. Not many pubs like The Grapes around nowadays!
Yes, my son bought an Early Doors DVD for me, back in the day ..... still excellent.
When still at work, my line manager was a big fan and if I knew he was visiting, I'd take it in.
We'd watch it at brew times & lunch times ....."Do you like circuses, Llani Boy?"
BBC 4 tonight, 7 pm, “Munro: Mountain Man”, for anyone interested.
Tomorrow on Channel 4, 9 pm, Free Solo. Absolutely incredible. Greatest sporting achievement I’ve seen.
It's a fabulous film (which I have seen 3 times it's that good!)
If you like that kind of thing, I would heartily recommend 'The Dawn Wall' which features Tommy Caldwell, Alex Honnold's climbing partner for his free solo recces. He is perhaps the greatest free climber we have ever seen and has an amazing back story (including the loss of a finger.)
Cheers Pete. Started watching it today. Excellent stuff indeed.
Pitch 15 gets me every time. Totally unreal as is the downclimb and/or dyno that follow.
Just watched Pointless whilst having my tea and the winners were a Keith and Georgie who scooped £4,000. I am certain that I reconise Keith as being a fell runner as I have seen him at races.
I bet he treats himself to a new pair of shoes!
Well Done.
He could probably afford some of those new fangled graphene jobs now
Only a little one.
7k around Göcek harbour.
Was supposed to be a mountain bike but it turned in to a fixie as there were no gear change cables 😂😎
Hopefully this might kick start biking again 👍
Was your "little one" on Turkish TV Stagger?
Watched the BBC programme with Ben Fogle last night about the preservation of Scott’s hut in the Antarctic, really interesting and amazing to see but... I do wonder whether it worth all the cost and effort as it’s unlikely that many folk will ever see it, perhaps it would have been better to photograph it, record it and then let it slip into the antarctic ice for perpetuity
Is Barcelona in Rome? You couldn't make it up. Thick as!
(and no, I don't watch it, just heard a clip on the radio)
Overheard on a bus...."is that book, like, fiction or is it, like, one that's made up know-wot-I-mean?"
Last night watched the first in the new series of the Hotel Inspector. Don't give a shit about the hotels but Alex Polizzi, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
She could do my hospital corners anytime she wants!
Tour de France
Cricket
F1
Golf
Oh and I have to confess my better half went on to the tedious once.
Great afternoon of sport
The Gamechangers, Netflix, V Interesting
Watched A Question of Sport at 50 last night.
A very enjoyable trip down memory lane. Brian Barnes, the golfer, was actually smoking a pipe whilst answering a question which put a puzzled look on my 13 year old sons face!
Worzel Gummidge with Mackenzie Crook, cracking :D
New series of This Country started last night. Kerry and Kurtan still on top form.
Dad's Army for me, UK Gold....
