Quick reminder about this race :-)
Had this in my calendar to do as not done it for a few years but suffering a slight calf strain at the minute. So hoping to come along and take some photos instead.
Can someone clarify start time please as flyer states 7.30pm and other websites inc Facebook say 7.00pm
weather looks good for tonight!
should be a good one.
Collected the t-shirts for the race last night and if I do say so they look very impressive!
£3 for a race with a t-shirt and all the money taken for the race all goes to charity!
You can't get better value than that!
Cheers Adrian - See you later.
The Sun is now out over Rivington!!!
...really hot - went off to quick - but happy with the run and t-shirt..all for £3. class.
good to meet Yannis...and Pinno hope u get back fit soon!
Absolutely perfect weather and the route was virtually bog free.
99 runners enjoyed a brilliant evening out!
Cheers Lostock AC and the many marshalls on the course.
Well done and Thanks to Hopey and the Lostock crew for organising a cracking run tonight. Couldn't have asked for better.

My first time doing this race although I know the area well. An absolute cracker and thanks to all the organisers & marshalls. I saw one guy bypass the climb to the pike and carry on along the road back to the pigeon tower. Not sure if he realised or not but by God, I envied him!
Thanks for all the positive comments, make it all worth while.
Thanks everyone!
Well done everyone pics at www.sportsunday.co.uk
Well done everyone - Great race wished I had been running now rather than taking pics. Nice to meet Hopey and Dylan. Loads more photos to come tomorrow:

Pics from race at Sportsunday.
Massive respect, we set them off 30mins before everyone else as they didn't want to keep the marshalls out, but if they had of set off at the same time as everyone else they wouldn't have been last.
Results are now on the Lostock website

Like most race organisers who organise races on Winter Hill, we are also having fun with UU trying to put this race on.
As it stands we're being told we can't run on part of the course, so we're trying to find an alternative route, as soon as I have a route I will let everyone know.
With everything that is happening with UU there is a chance that this could be the last Hendersons End. Racing on Winter Hill looks like it might become a thing of the past.
I ran Hendersons End for the first time last year - weather atrocious - but absolutely loved it. What are the issues with United Utilities? Is there anything that we as members of local clubs (Burnden Road Runners in my case) can do to put pressure on UU? I am assuming it is down to access to land?
UU don't want anyone running on certain parts of Winter Hill, a lot of races on winter hill are going through the same thing, the FRA are aware of it and hopefully will be trying to sort things out.
Next weeks race is going ahead, but there's a route change and it's likely to be the last Hendersons End fell race.
any 2013 results yet?
