He beat you by completing the race in 31 min 56 sec vs. your time of 33 min 48 sec.
If its any help you beat me, by 1 second. You were suffering towards the end and I nearly got you with a sprint at the end, but not quite.

Ben Fish won the men's race (24'28'') and Ginny Willey achieved her first win (33'13'').
John Brown's record of 23'05'' still stands.
Who's down for this our clubs grand prix race??? Looks like it will be a hot un!
Thers a few Rossy runners making the trip.......tea and cakes at the finish.Put kettle on chuck.
Free entry if you bring a home cooked cake but don't forget money for the charity raffle
Can anyone give me a definitive answer on where the registration is for this one please?
Heard it's both the Scout Hut and St. Saviour's Church, I have no idea where either of these are as I'm unfamiliar with the area but map searches are not helping me much!
Thanks in advance!
Hi Rasher, details of Eddies revenge for this year.
St. Saviours Church, Buckstones Road, Shaw, Oldham OL2 7TE
Hi Okmum, i have had an issue with that particular address - if you put OL2 7TE into Google maps for instance, it appears to be pointing to St James' Church which is down a side-street off Crompton Way, certainly not very close to Buckstones Rd at all, hence the confusion. I guess I will just have to go up Buckstones Rd on the day and see if I can spot any runners
look for brushes res, will take you to buckstones road on google.
just got the post code for Eddies Revenge race, should be OL2 8NB..
A big thanks to John and all his marshals who made this a great little event.
A fully runnable course, fast and undulating.
Very big turn out and all went well.
Thanks again.
Can only echo what Stagger said - my first attempt at this race and enjoyed it thoroughly - would recommend it to anyone. At least now I know were the "Revenge" part of the name comes from :w00t:
A great event, thanks John, will be back next year.

Wish I could say the same!
Thanks for the link; much appreciated.
See you there next year!
Who is Eddie and why does he want revenge, anybody know? Before tonight's race the organiser said a few words about a recently departed local runner who was still actively running into his 80's, we held a moments silence, lovely touch. The organiser also said the course is all runnable, I did manage to run it all but blimey I was blowing, especially up the last climb beside the quarry. Many thanks to all involved and the double toffee cake was fantastic.
I think the "Revenge" part comes from the final bit of the race, where you have to carry on past the finish and do another lap of the quarry.
Not sure about Eddie himself, I heard that he came up with the route of the race - might be a member or past member of Middleton Harriers who organise the race
