See you on Saturday at Cut Gate! Will you be marking the Bog Monster again?
My afternoon job today, spent all morning splitting wood for the fire.
No this year I'm running sweep, I wanted to race round and show you youngsters a thing or too but alas if I want to run Tanky's
Re: Grin 'N' Bear it 2010
the notes mention food at checkpoint D (Lasche) - do we know what that might be?

sounds about right possibly some biscuits and fruit as well. We've also had energy drinks in the past. big stew at the finish.
Re: Grin 'N' Bear it 2010
Ian, if you're sweeping the race, who's standing watch over the bogmonster?
Re: Grin 'N' Bear it 2010
Mrs Stagger has all day to play out and you want them to be on the line for 8am.
Whats up with you southerners can't you sleep.
Don't worry about marshalls, she'll come home when she needs feeding.
Rescue ale, now thats a tasty beer, just managed to get my hands on a brace after Glossop moor.
Went down a treat:thumbup:

It should be a big Bloke called Debs, Yeah you heard right, Actually it's his initials but every one calls him that so say hello. I've given him instructions about the Bogmonster and wher to position himself. He will have a throw line should it be required ;)

then surely starting at 8.00 means she gets to make the most of it.
Best make sure Mrs S has some spare cash with her, then she can treat you to a case for letting her play out:w00t:

I take it you'll have some crates of MR ale along with you then? Might be tempted....
Hope there's something a bit more, errm, "sporty" scran-wise at Lasche. Last year I didn't fancy tucking into a Ginsters sausage roll en route to give me the extra endurance "edge"! :D
Re: Grin 'N' Bear it 2010
No playing out for me & the spotty collie dog after all  Have got a bit of a dodgy foot niggle, it doesn't seem to like shorter runs so have decided against testing it out on a long one. Have fun. Forecast looking quite good :)
