Glorious sunshine in Darwen.
Oh no, hang on. Heavy snow.
Coming down thick in Radcliffe now.
Snow snow snow. Run run run...:D:D:D
Porelle Drys dug out in readyness for a snow trot. Going to take the camera up, should be an impressive wintery scene if/when it actually stops.
I dont know about anyone else but am i the only person that hates snow on the forum?
You go out on the fells and end up knee deep in drifts and cant run properley or go out on the roads and either get hit by a car or break your neck
Hate it,just as we got rid of the last lot we have a bout 4 inches in oldham again
I agree Fleeter, the novelty is beginning to wear very thin now, while the snow is growing deeper! We've had it in Teesdale for 2 weeks solid now and it's so deep on the tops that it's nearly impossible / is impossible to run in. Quads have burned out trying. Normal routes take double plus time to run. Suppose there's some super training effect, like running in deep soft sand - but you can only take so much -
Can't even risk driving over to the Lakes as the Brough road gets blocked easily by drifts.
boo hoo!:D
Big thumbs up for Porelle Drys for running in the snow/through cold water/slush. Feet toasty after today's snowy runs but would have been numb with normal socks on. I found them in the back of a drawer the other year after enduring numb feet after a cold water/slushy run.
Snow too deep for running - then try this...:)
