Thank you very much. What about the camping? It means a weekend trip for me.

skennaugh, I'm on train / bus too: dunno where you're coming from but it might be better to get train to penrith, and then regular bus from there to keswick
anyone know when entries will be confirmed?
I will be coming from Heysham, so have to come up from Lancaster.
If anyone needs a lift from a train station to a campsite on Friday, gives us a shout and i'll see what i can do, i'm going up on Thursday regardless of whether i get an entry or not;)
Got an entry:cool:
Hurrah.... entries recieved and accepted!:D
Thread officially re-opened ;):D
My entry is accepted- got the letter today.
First time and have no idea how it compares to Duddon which I do like a lot!
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!! Where is my letter??
Sometimes living on an island can be a pain in the Arse!
Erm.... I don't live on an island (though some think Macclesfield is:rolleyes:)
Does my lack of acceptance mean I have had my chips?:eek:
What is the policy on name changes if I can find a number?
If all else fails, I have got two nights at the Sca Fell hotel going for a very reaonable rate!!!
im in :-)
I wasn't suggesting running under someone else's name, just using a number that was not going to be used and doing through the correct channels!
Having done the race the last 3 consecutive years I am just a little keen to continue my patronage of this excellent event. Thanks.
"If you are unable to compete in the race, subject to demonstrating appropriate experience, another runner may take your place in the Race. In that case a Substitution form must be completed at race registration"
Just taken that from my conf letter. :)
I 'begged' a sub last year via Club web-site. Exchanged emails and then sent a cheque. Received form and filled in sub details citing experience. Presented form at registration. No worries.
Still hoping that I've got in:confused:
I'm hoping MMM and PPP is experience enough.
No probs. mate:)
WWWWOOOOOO HHHHHOOOOOO! I'm in!
Thinking of going out to buy cream cakes and beer to celebrate.
I'm in too, better start training
Just looked at the Advance Details and list of checkpoints:
1 Bessy Boot summit 258125
2 Esk Hause shelter 235083
3 Scafell Pike summit 215072
4 Great Gable summit 211104
5 Styhead (stretcher box) 219095 *NEW*
6 Honister Hause 225135
7 Dalehead summit 223154
Presumably the checkpoints have to be visited in that order. I could understand it if the NEW checkpoint was between Scafell Pike and Great Gable. Anybody got any further information?
this one looks right...

Check out the FRA Calendar online - Borrowdale isn't listed unless I'm being numb.
I take it that it is definitely the 1st August?
YES because i have a reply to my entry saying I am in,rules etc etc
I'm in too - got my confirmation this very morn :D
Can someone please confirm that the 'new' route is significantly longer than the old one. Either that or everyone's just a lot slower than they used to be (including Simon Booth...)
I've asked this question before only to be met with a wall of silence, almost as if no one dare imply that Billy wasn't that much better than all the runners of today. Come on I'm just interested how times compare to years of yore, the new route to BB has to be 5 mins longer. (?)
