My first '25' and a good day for it.
I didn't really know what to expect as I only decided to do it last week. One of the highlights though was Bolton Abbey beautifully lit in the morning light. I recognised some of the later route from doing the Round Hill race a couple of times but I relied on some 'old sweats' I was running with for a time to do most of the navigation until Timble when I was on my own and had to get out the instructions.
mine nearl got to 24 (23.9) which meant although I thought I had done my extra miles before the race I had to go back and do some more afterwards!
Great day for it tho and nice to catch up with some friends
Just caught you as you were finishing Karen, nice run in with the the thorn, just about to tuck into me stew at end when Tindersticks [i think] burst in explaining size of what he left to lighten the load ;)
great route great day out
Thanks, ill add a mile or 2 as i took a wrong turn coming of rocking stones:closed:
Hello Headless, no it wasn't me I timed in at 3.39hr.....hello Dogruf, I blame it on all the biscuits, I can't resist them.
Yep.LDWA good value as usual. I ate 2 flpajack, 2 cake, 2 pieces of orange and then had stew and pudding plus countless cups of tea!
Nice to see you Dogruf and others
A few photos of the event are scattered between the words in my blog here
