After a bad time with injury and colds, my first speed session for 2 months last night - really feeling it this morning, but great to be back - hang on in there if you're going through it.:)

No running today - marvellous! Marvellous on account of the MENTAL weather up here at the mo' and just don't fancy playing out. You can barely stand up let alone canter! :D
Mind you, will no doubt spend some time on the ol' rowing manchine tonight....
6 miles/1000' trail run up near Hameldon again. There's a lot of weather out there today - was going to go out on the bike but gave it a miss on account of the wind. 4 long days at work ahead and then 8 off for lot's of playing out :) Just clocked up 31,000' of ascent for Feb.
4 miles got pushed uphill by the wind.. fell into it on the way down though.. tad muddy, the cleaner in the co-op wasn't too pleased when i walked in tonight... :D
A five miler on the lanes behind Giggleswick yesterday evening in the dark with Kelly, my daughter. The wind was unbelievable with branches and logs falling from trees and the trees almost bending over sideways. I chose to tell Kels a 'true' werewolf story just at the most isolated wind ravaged end of our loop (the wind was whistling just like it does in scooby doo  )... which didn't go down well. Neither did the a dog (a big one by the sound of it) suddenly starting to bark at us from a nearby farmyard moments later.
Now just off for a half pendle practise run I think.
9 miles including an ascent of winter hill. Very windy all the way up and this made it twice as hard!:)
Good to get back to something resembling training.
I bet it was bloody windy at Bleasdale!
