Looks a good run out Steve! We met and had a nice chat with Leed Flyer at Easter on leg 2 in the snow
Hamstring still an issue.. 1 mile warm up. 12 K at 4 min/k.. but more like 3:50... 6:20-6:10 min miles.. felt good at that.. was chatting away.. the guy I was with is the Doc for the German Marathon team.. 2:20 marathoner.. then 1 mile cool down.. jumped on road bike 30 K on that..
Nice week so far but hamstring is an issue.. not pulled just severely tight suddenly during runs..
Didn't feel like racing Burbage last night, so went out late from Ladybower Inn instead. Straight up behind the pub, along the edge to sit on cakes of bread for the sunset and then just made it back to the car without needing a headtorch. Beautiful run and light, sadly photos didn't come out great as I think it was a lot darker than I realised.
10.3km, 312m climb, 61min
Damp, grey ride to work this morning, 23km, 300m climb, 50 min.
Had an early run today having seen the weather forecast for later. 8m/1500' round local hills - In one field a very young lamb attached itself to me suffering from some kind of parental identification problem. I led it to the nearest sheep that was complaining and at the same time two other lambs suddenly appeared and went towards the sheep. She ended up with 3 lambs "attached" to her so I didn't know who belonged to whom in the end ?
6.8m 1300ft on the hill, and 1hr 15m steady on the turbo trainer before brekkie.
Not what I hoped to be doing today, but life had other plans.
10 miles and 3,700 feet today in the wind and rain
I had a run round the Hailstorm Hill fell race route this morning and the hill lived up to its name.
Hail in the Isle of Man too. A 9.5mile trundle around some of the big hills this morning - 3780ft. Not a soul about.
7 miles and 4144ft ascent.
Bit sluggish recovering from a bout of man flu.
And an easy hour on a turbo trainer just spinning the legs.
early morning long hill reps (x4) with the dog, about 8km with 500m of up.
Stepping it up again now..
Wednesday: 12.9 miles at 6:50 pace..

Sunday: am: 13.8 miles at 7:00 pace.. undulating trail run. pm: 3 miles steady.
Monday: 20.2 miles trail run on narrow sandy trails at 6:57 pace.. really hard session.
Its holiday time so a week of high mileage as a result of some new targets that appeared earlier this week..
Tuesday: am: 8,7 miles steady. pm: 4 mile trail run, all 7-8 min miles on the flat..
Wednesday: 13.3 miles trail run hill rep session.. 8 nice trail hills.. averaged 7:30 for session.

103 miles in past 7 days so a nice chunk of mileage.. easy day today, 10-12 max over 2 runs and harder 12-14 tomorrow.
12 hill reps - on the steepest hill in Suffolk - 1,100 ft of up/down, just over 6 miles, 8.40/mile. The things we have to do in the East.

15.5 miles and 4469ft ascent for me. Well on my way to a 70m 16500ft week.
What a brilliant week.
71miles and 16483ft, I'm going to eat ice cream until I'm sick.
Out for a random walk, found myself near a multi-storey car park - 5 floors, each 16 steps/8 ft. Went up/down 25 times, so 125 flights, 1,000 ft of up/down; 33 minutes.
I like the session mike
I was out on bike got to 10 mile point punture never had equipment to sort out so put the bike on shoulder and ran 3 mile back home then jumped on blocks for 5000ft and 30 mins on rower this morning at about 45 s per min
Next to no running last week, just 3 short sessions in evoskins. Did ride to work all 4 days though, so 185km with just under 3000m climb in total.
Speedy commute on the bike again today, 5 minutes faster than usual, then a dark peak race this evening
6x hill reps, 50m ascent/2:30min
BG Leg #2. Looked at Garmin (...and I realise its not 100% accurate) and last November I did it in 4.04 14.2 mile, yesterday I did it in 4.08 14.6 mile. Yesterday I did make a couple of small errors and it does show how a few minor things can add a fairly big lump of time. A short 'going around in a circle' moment and missing the fence off Dollywagon in affect added 7 or 8 minutes I reckon! Thats 35-40 minutes over 5 legs. Obvious but, for me at least, illuminating!!
3.6 mile, sub 24 minutes. Thats good for me, so well pleased!! :)
7.85m 1749ft, tremendous fun. Legs felt leaden putting my shoes on but felt brilliant as soon as I started running.
shocking run today.. 12.7 miles but really really tired..
First run on the fell for 10 months or so. 8 1/2 miles 2300ft of ascent in 81 minutes, quite pleased and ran the whole way with a smile on my face. Shorter run for tomorrow
6 am 6.3 miles
lunch 1 mile 1 hour core session... awful
6pm: 2 mile warm up.. 3 x 1k.. 4:40 min mile pace = dead.. 6 min rest.. still dead.. 5:15 min mile pace km 2.. 6 min rest 5 min mile pace km 3.. 3 x 200m at 33 secs.. 200m job.. 2 mile jog cool down...
12.2m 2350ft ascent giving 43m 8000ft for the week.
18 miles 3000ft of ascent and tan lines.
11m 3800ft, tough going and sluggish legs made this more of a walk than a run.
Aye.. the guy I train with likes his routines..
Nice week, should hit 90 again.. but tired after a marathon last weekend.. main sessions were 9 miles, with 7.5 miles at around marathon pace tuesday, wednesday 3 miles am, steady 10 miles pm, 7 miles thursday lunch, 8 miles thursday evening, with 4 x 200m efforts, 200m recov, 3 x 1k with 400m jog, around 5:15 pace, 2 x 400m sub 5 pace.. 2 mile jog home. Last night steady 10 checking out new area and now 20 mile trail run, steady pace though, want a hard session tomorrow.
Hard session to finish off the weekend..
