5ml / 600ft from White Lion tonight. Stef's 3rd 'torcher in 3 nights. Tip top route planning from millipede. Good to see plodding bear out again
Yeah, found all that mud a bit hard work though! Enjoyed it all the same, and I was pleased that young Joss behaved himself. Maybe I'll bring him along another time if no-one minds.
And I've just worked out who Millipede is! Clever name, I see what you did there...
32 intrepid dark peakers took to the hills around ladybowyer last night followed by a lovely pint in the Pub of the same name.
9.05mi & 1,250ft on the lanes to and from Barley this morning. Very wet & windy. Gentle pace: 1:25:35. Job done.
3 groups of Bowland Bats departed from Grizedale Bridge, each taking their own route around and over Nicky Nook. Cracking clear, starry night to be out. First real heavy frost for a few weeks.
Hour and a bit 'torcher with Dave the Gaffer. No wind, hoar frost everywhere and a crystal clear sky made for a great run out. No idea of distance or climb and couldn't care less :closed:
My headtorcher tonight --> Settle Hills from home. The ground was rock hard, which made a pleasant change from the usual muddy morass, but it was like jagged concrete in places with some sheet ice thrown in for good measure.
a steady plod around Duxbury park woods Chorley checking all the orienteering sites my husband has planned for a forth coming event. Glad it was frosty as less wet and muddy than usual. Had a fine time until I spooked a dog with my big light on my way back up to thecar park- other than that I had not seen anyone in over an hours jogginf around
