Are race maps available at registration?
Just looked in the calendar for a race - thought I'd come over from North Wales to do this tomorrow and had a look to see if there's a thread about it - good grief I'd be up all night reading this lot! :w00t:
And hi Trig! My trig point's bigger than yours!!!
I won't be there, but I've got an excuse - see Injuries section!
Okay… The pub is stocked with Copper Dragon, The cakes and soup are all ready to roll, the starting banner is up on the cobbles, the relevant parts of the 15 mile route are flagged (in the pissing rain) and the Marquee is up in the finishing field http://flic.kr/s/aHsjzb4qLp
All we need now are a few hundred idiots prepared to go through 15 miles of hell to finish on the stairway to Heaven or Heptonstall as we know it : - )
We're all getting very excited here!!
Trig envy?
Don't worry about the thread -its all on the web site www.heptonstallfellrace.org.uk -fantastic to hear you might be making the big journey (IT WILL BE WORTH IT!) the sun is going to shine tomorrow, and all is looking good out there tonight (about 20 of us have just spent he entire day flagging, setting up marquees and changing tents, and sorrting out enough free food for how ever many turn up) we're looking forward to seeing you for a big Yorkshire day out!
Noticed a few guys from Derby and further afield have turned up having done Lads Leap, and are camping in the parking fields.
See you tomorrow!
Spring is definitley here - we had to flag through a field of new born lambs - farmer is OK as long as we all stick to the flagged route - remind me to warn everyone tomorrow!
Everyone av a good un, sorry i won't be there, not enough brownie points in the bank and it's Mother's Day, and i've been out for the best part of the day.
One day i'll make it out on a recce with the enthusiastic RO that is Trig.
Best Wishes all and enjoy:thumbup:
