Grin and Bear it

A big thanks today to all at WMRT and, as has been said earlier, great to meet up with all.

Thanks to Rodders for some key navigation today! - I had a great round but the tank was empty by the time I got to the end ...:D, particular thanks to Mrs Stagger and Socks for your encouragement at the end, I couldn't quite manage to stay with you both;)

Just had a couple of Rescue Ales with dinner, a great end to a cracking race.

Again, this is a great event. I may be slow but I'll be back.

Splendid day today - Many Thanks to Woodhead MRT for perfect organisation
veritable whos'-who of a forumite turnout :)
impressed to see Socks and Mrs Stagger haring away into the distance
tweaked my knee on the descent to Lady Cross (ironically one of the best bits of running on the whole route :rolleyes: ) and had a bit of a bad patch thereafter, but perked up towards the end and clocked about 5 hours

Yes, that was me. I perked up a bit later and got round half an hour faster than last time. It was a good day out.

I'm guessing you are refering to the road crossing food, Yes minor hiccup as the guy who sorts this(Lyndas friends) is living in the middle east (Dubai not york ;)) This has already been rectified as we have been promised some by a local wellknown supermarket.

Food at the end though was excellent I thought. Welldone Adam!! He's a new member of the team.

Entry should be simpler next year as we plan to run Long course, short and race, Please note no mention of walkers or runners. this should avoid confusion about entries and start times.

We're not sure about exact figures yet but if it wasn't our most successful fundraiser it was very close. Thanks to all those who got entries by raising sponsorship money. there were quite a few.

Results for the race should be along soon.

Ian - that photo is just scary! Saw the chap at the end. Think he'd been a bit freaked out by it, but was happy enough at the end. Steve S also had a good dunking and a girl had some interesting make up - or was that an incomplete mud pack on her face? I do think the bogs were worse this year - but the weather was brill. A really good day. Thanks again.
